There are several issues raised by the original inquiry. At the close of the inquiry the question raised was whether this condition is inappropriate for a beginner? I would suggest that one's responses are always within the conceptual field of 'practice do no harm'. The physician must construct a good diagnosis in advance of any treatment plan. It is inappropriate to recall and implement merely keynotes of any remedy. Doing so will most likely narrow one's view of the patient and miss the 'totality' of the case which we are instructed to perceive.

What is important is that you have it in your heart to render aid, and what is necessary is that you apply your effort in accordance with principle.

I offer for your consideration a composition which I have used with favor for such a circumstance. Avena Sativa 10M, 200C; Nux-V 1M; Coffea 6C; Tobaccum 1M, 200C, 30C, 6C; Sphylinum LM 1.

While it is certainly of importance to have it in your heart to render aid,
it is also of primary importance to have it in your head that a shotgun
approach falls far afield of the mark: "DO NO HARM."

Irresponsible use of potentized 'remedy' substances can and have done harm.

The promotion of non-homeopathic use of potentized 'remedy' substances is
therefore harmful and irresponsible, in addition to being off the topic of
homeopathy.

If you cannot responsibly select a remedy homeopathic to a case, you clearly
have the obligation (do no harm) to
1. refer to another homeopath
2. choose a modality you are competent in

Suggestions relating to guess-opathy (I'll try these ten remedies, maybe one
will do something) are inappropriate (obviously, I should have thought) -a
person who is not competent to select a properly homeopathic remedy is
obviously not competent to provide requisite case management, and (do no
harm) thus has no business being involved with attempting "homeopathic"
treatment, or for that matter UNhomeopathic treatment using potentized
medicinal substances, of which little understanding outside the field of
homeopathy exists.

Application of principle, as in do no harm, would suggest that you exact
application of the delete key in lieu of personal assaults, and manifest
some measure of a respect for differences. Your attitude is at variance
with that of an unprejudiced observer, and is intended to be manipulative,
both inconsistent with the instructions of the Organon.

Based on a brief personal exchange with this person, this is another one
looking for a fight. I suggest we just stick to homepathy, and leave the
"communications skills" for them to acquire (or not) elsewhere. Or
off-list, if you're feeling brave and/or masochistic.

I don't wear my self-worth on my sleeve, and while I have some pity for
those who do, I haven't the inclination to study up on how to write quickly
and clearly while inserting all imagineable escape-hatches for
corresponents' self-worth.

It is quite simple to decide to read a post from the viewpoint of the
PRINCIPLES involved.

I suggest attempting to do so, as opposed to flogging one's own self-worth.

Ouch, I'm sorry, but I think I've been misunderstood...
My post re "another one looking for a fight" was *not* at or aimed at or in
reference to you!!! I'm sorry I've left you with that impression, and I'm
not sure why it came out that way??? Let's continue privately, since this
is not list business, but I figured that, since it sounded to *you* as tho I
was attacking you, it might sound that way to others too, and that's not
what I mean to do.

I hope you do realize I've appreciate much of what you say, even tho we
