On Oct. 4th Sajan Cheeramattam sent an Indian newspaper article, apparently from "The Hindu" ( national English lang. daily ), reporting on experiments with homoeopathic remedies for benefits in agriculture in the sw. state of Kerala and asked for similar information from others. - There have been several posts entitled "plant homoeopathy", "environment(al amelioration)" etc. in the recent past. Try to find them in your account, or, if you are new, in the archives at yahoo. Since these threads had dried up, I think no-one has more information to share at this time, though I enjoyed the topic and regret it . - Could you tell the precise date and page of that article? I want to find it in paper form ( and look for any follow-up); I have access to a library that holds the paper, it would save me time. - What I did not understand was how they wanted to get a patent. Apparently they tried mixtures of single hom. remedies for various purposes. When they start marketing it, don't they have to reveal what's inside, i.e. the formulae ?. And then can you prevent anyone from using the same combination for their own purposes, even if not creating another copy brand ? Anyway, sounded interesting. Do you know if that has been / is going to be published in some scientific book / journal as well ? - Regards, Panthera

Idris S.M.got increased size of mango fruits and marigold flowers by the use of Kali mur 12.He controlled aphids on beans by dusting wood ash over the plants and embedding Sulphur 30 under the plants. Sulphur made them antipsoric. He also observed Nat.Sul is one of the important remedies for hydrogenoid constitution..Dropping of mango fruits due to ill effects of burning heat was also controlled by him by the use of Nat.mur 30.

Verma et al (1969) found very encouraging results in curing virus-diseased plants. They observed that Carbo veg, Chimaphilla, Chenopodium, Cedron and Variolinum decreased the virus content in Nicotiana tabacum var.N.P.31 discs by about 60-90% when leaf discs were floated of virus inoculation on these drugs for 7 days.

I apologize for the little mess. - Sorry, I mistakenly addressed this to "yahoo.ORG" yesterday, found it had been returned and have to try again posting today : / Replying to Tanya Marquette, who posted an old mail on this topic yesterday, and all others: "...here is the Post to which you refer...", she wrote. - Actually I didn't, because I did not know it. ( I had several other, probably more recent postings in mind. ) But it is most interesting. Thank you. Either I unfortunately overlooked something, or it was in some digest some time back that I haven't found the time yet to read through, or it was mailed before I joined the list this summer. Do you have the date as well? If there have been more, I should search in the archives. Don't know if that is organized by dates or topics. / I looked up the "homoeopathic heritage" that the poster refered to. It is a journal by Jain Publishers in New Delhi, India. I found out I can order it by distance loan from some specialist library, that is fine. What does "Verma et al. ( 1969 )" refer to ? Apparently some book or paper to be found in the lit. appendix, that is if there would be any,or is that in turn in the journal issue?. / I knew only the biodynamic agriculture thing, which claims to be somehow "energetic / vibrational" in some aspects, but is not hom., as I noted with quote in some earlier post, and that "PENAC" system I wrote about in some length, although it is not hom. either and thereby a bit off-topic for this list, but with striking parallels, i.e. non-material transfer of "information" of some stuff onto an ordinary carrier material by means of a life-energy accumulating device, sounds quite esoteric and too good to be true, but they can show thousands of customers and government money repeatedly spent on researching the effects. And IF that really works and is recognized by authorities despite violations of contemp. scient. understanding, that may indeed matter for hom. as well. Now if hom. itself has been found to act beautifully in agriculture as well, I find this quite exciting. Regards, Panthera

Dear Panthera,

There have been several posts over time dealing with homepathy and plants. Homeopathy clearly does impact plants. I have begun to save them in order to collect a body of experiences. If you come across any in your searches, please share them with minutus. I know that others on this list are also interested in this subject.
