sinus case

Dear All,

Had an interesting case a couple of weeks ago.

Female, 49, presented with sinus problems.

She had been suffering all summer with extremely painful sinus, << frontal.
Her whole head and down to her chest hurt and felt "full up". Her eyes were
sore, her mouth had ulcers and throat was full of mucous, causing her to
cough, but hard to move the mucous, tongue white. All the symptoms were
worse at the end of the day into the evening. No discharge from nose. No
appararent infection. Concommitant sx was some occasional diarrhoea with
mucous like stools. She was a somewhat 'closed' person.

Would probably have thought about giving her Kali Bich if it hadn't been for
one of those wonderful coincidental occurrences the day before - which I
will tell you about later.

If any of you want to guess the remedy......

Best wishes, Joy Lucas

Maybe Teucrium marum verum, except I don't know how "closed" they are.

Peace,

Thanks to everyone who sent myself and the group some possible answers to
the case below.

The remedy given was actually Armoracea Sativa - Horseradish.

The coincidence the day before was that I had been making my own fresh
horseradish sauce. I make it several times a year and it is a really painful
process, you practically have to wear a gas mask!

Anyway I experienced exactly the same symptoms of this person, followed by
what was to be her progress of cure symptoms - a pouring out of watery
mucous from eyes and noes with a tremendous feeling of refreshment
afterwards, both physically and mentally. She felt the best she had felt for
months and months.

Worth reading up on this remedy.

Best wishes, Joy

Hi Joy,
After a fruitless search I finally found horseradish under a different
name -
REMEDY NAME:COCHLEARIA ARMORACIA-ARMORACIA SATIVA.
(Horse- radish). Now how come you had this one in stock or do you have ray
machine?

Rochelle

Dear Rochelle, as the client was going on holiday and I wanted to prescribe
for her straight away I made up the remedy myself to the 8c, made up a
bottle of tablets with a few drops of the solution. I have only ever done
this before (out of pharmacy hours and in emergencies) with Allium sativa
and Allium Cepa.

Does anyone else make up their own remedies?

And yes some MM's give different names for it (a bit like cimicifuga) and
even different spellings.

Regards, Joy
