It is an important remedy in liver affections esp when
symptoms are accompanied by jaundice and 'black tarry
stools'.
There is a sore, burning pain in the liver region or
near gall bladder extending to navel or left scapula.
There is rumbling in abdomen with urging to stool
which is amelirated by passing a 'dark fetid stool'.
Passing stool is often accompanied by umbilical pain.
The patient is depressed and hopless with thought of
disease. 'Hopelessness & hepatic affections'.
