Olibanum sacrum as hom. rem. (from Wed.)

Post by A.Panthera Johannides »

It was written: "...seems to be frankincense..." - Yes, you are right. The name refers to its traditional use in religious cult, ancient Egypt, oriental, orthodox, and catholic churches etc. I once took part in a four-hour-long night service ( and many shorter ones) in an orthodox monastery, where I lived for a month many years ago to learn some of their liturgic chants, and when I read your post in my digest that just arrived I could sense the smell again, it's so impressive stuff. - I have seen a whole hom. book on this ( 320 pages ), i.e. multiple provings and background information. They write they had a total of 102 participants recording 1500 symptoms in a variety of settings, un-blind and blind, using potencies from C 6 up to C 220, and C 10 000, and Q 2 ; directed by a physician and midwife couple working in some development project in Yemen, where the stuff grows ( "www.hahnemann.com" ). But that is in German. Other recent titles if found where all non-hom.. Don't know if that is of use to anyone. But thank you for drawing my attention to this again, I want to buy and also to try that some day. Regards, Panthera
