Dupeytrens Contracture

Several years ago I had a injury on my right hand, which developed into
what I researched to be called Dupeytrens Contracture: A condition of
abnormal scar formation, maybe keloids under skin, usually on hand in
back of ring finger... on the palm side of hand causing finger to
contract, and only relax with great difficulty and pain... This became
very limiting to any activity I tried to do. Pulling weeds in the
garden, involved tightly contracting my hand to pull the weeds, but when
I would try to straighten out my hand, I found I couldn't do it, and the
pain felt like a ligament that was tied way past my wrist, into my right
arm. I would pour running warm water on my arm and hand, and massage
it, forcing it back open and flattening it. Even trying to write with
pen or pencil was difficult, as it involved tightening fingers around
the instument, and found that it was always a good possibility that I'd
find myself in this awkward position. I found myself going to bed
clutching a rolled up washcloth, to prevent myself from waking up
handicapped.

While studing Homeopathic remedies, by reading, and re-reading the
Boerke's Materia Medica, I ran into a remedy called Homeopathic remedy
called Thiosinaminum - Rhodallin (a chemical derived from oil of mustard
seed). Boerke's says " A resolvent, externally and internally, for
dissolving scar tissue, tumors, enlarged glands, lupus, strictures, and
adhesions."

As Boerke's reccomends using injections, and I planned to self treat, I
copied my remedy on my Eagle Pro Remedy maker from my "30C mother
remedy", and made it into pellets. I took these several times daily,
for several months. The repetition of the problem became less and less.

Finally, I realized, it had been several weeks since it had happened.
As of today, I haven't had the contraction for probably 3 months, and
consider myself cured by homeopathy.

One might try spraying it topically. Of Course, Boerke's suggests:"
injecting it under skin, or, into the lesion a 10% solution in glycerine
and water, 15-20 drops, twice a week. Internally, in capsules 1/2 grain
daily. Obstinate arterio-sclerotic ailments in doses of 1/2 grain,
never more, 3 times daily."

I don't know that outside of surgery, which has it's own percentage of
side effects and complications, that I've heard of any cures for
Dupeytrens Contracture with Allopathic medicine. I love it when
Alternative medicine shines ! Homeopathy is great!

Hi Jennifer,

Congratulations on your successful "experiment"!
Thiosinaminium has an established track record for relieving scars and etc.
I'm guessing that Boericke recommended injecting because he was drawing on
experience using the crude substance. Homeopathically, tho, it's used as
you did -- in potency, by mouth (whew!).

Thanks for sharing the information about your success with Dupeytrens --
filed for reference!!!
