prejudice

Commentary which is flipint or sarcastic cannot seek to hide behind
a cloak of academic expertise of merely being direct. To state that
one is bothered by prejudice is a reflection of disrespect for the
ideas presented and is a manifestation of judgement upon another.
It's simply inappropriate to communicate in a manner that differs
from kindly as we all occupy a place in the same boat each with a
slightly differing view. We learn from one another

i was neither hiding not flippant--i said i was pointed which some people may feel as
sharp. i am not hiding nor was i disrespectful. i commented on an attitude that i
believe was prejudicial and hold to my statements. prejudice is just that and needs to be
noted as it arises. i think it should behoove us to learn how to handle commentary on
such behavior and thought in a way that is more open and encourages thought as opposed
to bashing the commentator which was, in a sense, done to my comments. i did not
feel treated in a kindly way, nor were my comments dealt with respectfully. i do not
wish to continue this thread on this list as it has come up many times before. however,
i would like to see a little more openess to the thought of prejudice. we had such a thread
awhile ago about prejudice in practice and it was quite clear where the divide fell on this.

Tanya and Russell,
While I sympathize with each of your positions, this discussion is no longer
about homeopathy, and I'd like to request that you take it off-list.
Thanks, and best regards to you both!

shannon,
i did take it off the list but others would not and i dont like being
criticized in public without being able to respond. i dont think it
fairplay to put out a criticism of other's ideas without allowing them
the right to respond. as far as i am concerned this is a done deal.
i write this only to note an ethical process which applies to all
communications--homeopathic and otherwise
