Then perhaps the happiest middle ground is that if the progression of the
disease process becomes more rapid with the use of hormone replacement, it
is suppressive. If the rate of change is not affected, then it is
palliation. I just can't see how in a situation in which a hypothyroid
individual is given HRT and then develops seizures that it isn't
suppressive. As Jeff Feinman said, the strength of the vital force will play
a role as to whether it is able to prevent the toxic process from moving to
deeper tissues or whether it can find another outlet at the same "depth", if
you will. I think in order to be consistent with the homeopathic concept
that disease is a process and not a "substance" and Einstein's theories, we
must accept the fact that it can't just "go away". It must go somewhere.
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, just moved or changed in form.
So, the "hypothyroidism" must go somewhere else. That means the disease goes
deeper, towards the surface or to another tissue on the same level. Deeper
would be suppression, more superficial would be curative and the same level
would be palliation. How does that resonate with you?
