Dilutions and LMs

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

Thanks Dave for correcting me, I seemed to have missed one step (it was far
too early in the morning when I posted the mail)

In any case what must be remembered is that a great amount of anything will
kill (the terms are VERY relative and the amounts will very from one
substance to another).
So a lot of common salt in one dose will kill.

A small amount is used as part of our food - I again use salt - as in food.

A minute amount has medicinal properties as in Nat-m.

When dealing with the potentised substances, we see anything from 1x working
safely. Obviously the more poisonous the safer it is to use higher
dilutions. But for example do not forget that every time you eat a bitter
almond you get a dose of cyanide but it won't kill you!!

Thanks also for Gaby to for the calculations of LM.

Sheilagh Creasy is very much against comparing Cs and LMs. They are quite
different scales and have different uses.

I have not had any agg from LMs. I have found them gentle.
When they stop causing any reaction, it is time to seriously review your
case!

Always be watchful of having prescribed the wrong remedy and your patient
proving it.

However, if you give one dose and wait a few days, you save yourself a lot
of hassle.

DO NOT rush LMs, give only as and when necessary - as per other potencies.
But the beauty of LMs is that after a few days/couple of weeks, the patient
learns this aspect of case management and will feel the need to take another
dose.
When the patient HAS to take allopathic medication (BP control, anti seizure
tabs, asthma medication etc. etc.) the LMs are fantastic, because you can
repeat your dose often and gradually enable to patiened to be weaned off.
[This aspect needs a lot of care - so never ever rush in.]

One should not prescribe remedies as a protocol - it must be individualised
for the patient. That is the difference between homoeopathy and allopathy.

Regards and good healing everyone.
