1. WRITE TWO LETTERS TODAY.
A. Write one to your state senator and one to Majority Leader of the Senate,
Joseph Bruno. It should:

1. Ask him/her to support Senate bill #S4857
2. Relate how alternative practices have helped you, your family and friends
3. State that you want continued access to the practitioner of your choice
4. Ask them to let you know what they think about this issue and the
proposed legislation.
5. Include your name and mailing address.

B. Write another letter to your state assembly person and to Speaker of the
Assembly, Sheldon Silver. This letter should:

1. Ask him/her to support Assembly bill #A8704
2. Relate how alternative practices have helped you and your family and
friends
3. State that you want continued access to the practitioner of your choice
4. Ask them to let you know what they think about this issue and the
proposed legislation.
5. Include your name and mailing address.
2. IF POSSIBLE, PHOTOCOPY THE LETTERS BEFORE MAILING THEM.

3. MAIL EACH LETTER AS FOLLOWS:

A. To find your state senator and his/her mailing address, go to
http://www.senate.state.ny.us
or call The League of Women Voters at 212-674-8484.

B. To find your state assembly person and his/her mailing address, go to
http://www.assembly.state.ny.us or call The League of Women Voters at
212-674-8484.

C. Mail the letter to Majority Leader Joseph Bruno to:

Albany, NY 12247

D. Mail the letter to Speaker Sheldon Silver to:
932 Legislative Office Building
Albany, NY 12248

E. Send the photocopies of all letters to:

i would also suggest making some personal phone calls. i called vivian cook in albany
she spoke with me for almost 20". these people want to hear from us. but more importantly,
they want to hear from joe and jane consumer. get this info to you patients and out to your
networking organizations.

one thing i did was ask people for permission to use their names & e-mails to ensure they would, at the very
least, sign in thru the web site listed in allen's post. when you sign them in, they will receive a
confirmatory post.
