Hi Rochelle,
Dr. Ramakrishnan's method in Cancer and serious diseases is based
mostly on the research of Drs. Burrent and Clarke which introduced the
careful use of organ, systems and tissue remedies, nosodes and symptom
based remedies where indicated. It also introduced what has been called
"Burrnet's ladder", which involves the alternation or a series of these
remedies when necessary. Dr. Grimmer, Kentian homoeopath who did great work
in cancer, also noted that a series of more pathologically based remedies
are sometimes needed in advanced cancer. This method is useful in one sided
cases when their is heavy organic pathology and the constitutional
expression is repressed by the local complaints.
As the one-sided nature of the pathology is removed and more symptoms
come to the surface constitutional remedies may be given which calls for
less changes of remedies and less use of intercurrents. The number of
system, organ and tissue remedies used can be expanded greatly with a study
of the MM and paying attentions to the signs and symptoms. This increases
the effectiveness of the method. Also one should be a little careful not to
over medicate patients while following Ramakrishnan's general posology
suggestions. Not all cancer patents can stand quickly repeated doses and
changes in remedies. Cancer aggravations and crisis are very common so one
should be careful to no over medicate the patient by getting to much
involved in mechanical schedules.
