New User Guide for the forum

Hi,
I have created a new online User Guide to explain how best to use the forum. It is full of easy to follow instructions and screenshots showing every step needed. It is considerably better than the one on the phpBB website that is hopelessly out-of-date. By reading this guide, you should all find enough information to be able to use this forum with confidence. It is really not any more difficult than sending an email while offering many extras that are not possible via email.

There are two versions available, the online version here:
https://forums.group/getting-started.html

and the downloadable PDF version (101 pages).
https://forums.group/files/Forums.Group ... e.v1.2.pdf

Note: As the online manual is being constantly updated, you can find the latest versions here:
https://forums.group/online-training.html

I hope this User Guide makes it possible for more of you to start using your new forum.

I have been working hard on preparing the Crowd Funding to help financing the official start of the Forums.Group platform. I will let you know when it has been released.

Enjoy.

Peter

Regarding the logistics of receiving posting updates..

I cancelled the yahoogroups notifications, as that just seemed repetitive. I now get the groups.io daily update and the Minutus forum daily update. The groups.io one usualy gets here first, but it seems like the same info is in both. Is there anytime that one would have info that the other wouldn't? Just seeing if I can go down to one yet.
Thanks,Anthony

The individual email sent to groups.io for each post is currently not as comprehensive as the digest email. You will notice this in missing attachments and emails as well as broken longer links. That will be fixed when we switch to the two-way email posting system when it is ready.
So far receiving the latest posts as they are posted, yet not as polished, then read the messages sent to groups.io and for more complete messages, the digest posts. Of course best of all is to read the messages on the forum itself, where the links, images and videos work the best.
