I have a patient (who I'm seeing again on Saturday) who's cheif
complaint is gallstones and the associated pain.

She used the apple juice and olive oil method a couple of times prior to
seeing me and it worked to some extent, but the last time she tried it
it was very painful and didn't work well, and she is reluctant to repeat
it.

I'm not asking for specific meds or rubrics or anything. I was
just curious if anyone has had cases of gallstones that they able to
resolve solely with homeopathic meds without resorting to surgery? She
really wants to avoid surgery if possible. Is it possible to remove
gallstones using only homeopathy in anyone's experience?

I apologize if this has already been answered, I haven't been following
the posts too closely.

I have a patient with ultrasound-confirmed gallstones who has done very
well symptomatically on China, but I suspect that her stones are still
present anatomically since the symptoms resolved almost immediately
after taking the remedy.

Having written the above, I am reminded of another patient who had
painful uterine fibroids and felt about 80% better within 2 weeks of
Sepia 200c. However, when a repeat ultrasound showed no shrinkage of
the fibroids, she rushed into a painful and expensive surgery. I am
wondering if, over time, her fibroids would have resolved from the
remedy alone.

When we treat externally visible conditions like eye and skin
pathologies, we can see clearly the response to remedies. Internal
physical derangements are harder (or at least more expensive) to
evaluate. What are other people's experiences with symptom resolution
versus correction of anatomical pathology? And if the physical
derangement is unchanged but the patient feels well, is this an
acceptable end-point of treatment?

I use herbs along with the chosen Homeopathic remedy when I have patients
who have had confirmed gallstones or gallstone colic. I also have used
Cholesterinum in an x potency, along with an LM potency after the acute
remedy was given. This treatment idea was given to me by a 90 year old
Practitioner with a drawer full of cases to prove it. It helped to lessen the
severity of the pain and over time reduce the size of the stones in several

argued against the idea, fifteen years ago) but I tried it, it's worked for
me in the majority of the cases. I bring this up with the group, hoping not
to split hairs on theories, but simply because it did work. Do with it what
