Vit C and Covid-19

Post by Tanya Marquette »

Well here it is--corroboration of China using Vit C for covid-19 including the high doses involved.

Vit C and Vit D3/sun are 2 of the biggest go-to's in my book for building health as well as healing.

The fear of taking too much Vit C is more big pharma myth than reality. In order to form kidney

stones you would have to take 1000's of Vit C daily for months. Well, even eating too many apples

will cause gut problems but we don't stop eating this incredibly healthy fruit.
Fortunately, with Vit C we have the self-regulatory tactic of watching for our personal level of

bowel tolerance (the amount of Vit C necessary to cause loose stools) in order to monitor
what we take. Importantly, this level will change depending on our state of health which is

why the doses are so high for Covid-19 as they are for successfully treating cancer. For
general sickness people might need over 18g/day. My daughter just did a protocol (more

than I recommended) of 30g in one day and it caused immediate healing so she could return to

work the next day.

Building health is the surest way to avoid sickness!

Be Well

Andrew Saul, over at the Orthomolecular Medicine News Service writes:
“Shanghai Government Officially Recommends Vitamin C for COVID-19”

(OMNS Mar 3, 2020) The government of Shanghai, China has announced its official recommendation that COVID-19 should be treated with high amounts of intravenous vitamin C. (1) Dosage recommendations vary with severity of illness, from 50 to 200 milligrams per kilogram body weight per day to as much as 200 mg/kg/day.

These dosages are approximately 4,000 to 16,000 mg for an adult, administered by IV. This specific method of administration is important, says intravenous therapy expert Atsuo Yanagisawa, MD, PhD, because vitamin C’s effect is at least ten times more powerful by IV than if taken orally. Dr. Yanagisawa is president of the Tokyo-based Japanese College of Intravenous Therapy. He says, “Intravenous vitamin C is a safe, effective, and broad-spectrum antiviral.”

Richard Z. Cheng, MD, PhD, a Chinese-American specialist physician, has been working closely with medical and governmental authorities throughout China. He has been instrumental in facilitating at least three Chinese clinical IV vitamin C studies now underway. Dr. Cheng is presently in Shanghai continuing his efforts to encourage still more Chinese hospitals to implement vitamin C therapy incorporating high oral doses as well as C by IV.

Dr. Cheng and Dr. Yanagisawa both recommend oral vitamin C for prevention of COVID-19 infection.

Wow, how did your daughter manage to take 30 gm in a day, without spending the whole day on the toilet!?!
Thanks for the article!

I think her experience shows how much Vit C your body can take without reaching bowel tolerance when you are sick!

If you use liposomal vitamin C, you can take huge doses without bowel issues. With liposomal, I regularly take 20g/day, and when I'm getting sick, 40g/day, with no GI problems.

My daughter used 30g in one day and stopped a flu type illness dead in its tracks.

My drippy nose yesterday responded to 4 gr divided in 2 doses of liposomal Vit C.

My usual attack for nasty bugs is to start with a 2,000 mg dose, then aim for 1,000 hourly until much better, and decrease from there.

In practice, as I start to feel better I just start to forget it for longer times, so it gets sort of “individualized” as the body decides its own “as needed” schedule.

WE truly are all so unique. If really sick, your protocol does little for me. It used to be the one I did.

I find now beginning with 5g followed by another 5 gr about 2 hours later to flood my body with this antioxidant
works much better. I will then lower the repeat doses as soon as I see any improvement. Like you, as I improve

I begin to forget to take the Vit C so there is a natural or inherent response that lets me know to cut back.

Wow, that’s really good to know, thanks!

I’d have been terrified to take that much at once, but — as I become “not as young as I used to be”, lol good to know that going up might work better.
