Dear Friends,
In Miller’s Drug Relationship, Vinum is shown as
antidote to ACONITUM. It is not available in the MMs
with me. Anybody may give me the symptoms Vinum. In
Jeremy Sherr’s proved remedy list Riboflavinum ( , ,
Riboflavin )is available. Is it the same?

Vinum is a reference to tincture of Colch. (colchicum autumnale)
-which was an eclectic herbal medicine

The homeopathic proving of Colch. as found in
Hughes & Dake "Cyclopaedia of Drug Pathogenesy" is a proving of the
tincture.
(Stapf is one of the provers, Hahnemann another!)

There seems to be a great deal of indication within the MM as a whole that
Colch. "follows well" after Acon., and a few references to "antidote"
Hering lists as antidote to Acon, Bell, Op
S.K. Bannerjee lists it among a few others in "MM Made Easy"
Clarke lists it among others as antidote to Bell & Op
Cowperthwaite lists as antidote to Agar, Bell, Carbo-an, Con, Graph, Op.
Hoyne lists as antidote to Agar, Graph

Overall, the "specific antidote" idea seems less useful than prescribing on
"new & troublesome" symptoms as a fore-front issue newly developed in a
case.. though it is, I guess, useful to know that others have considered the
"genius" of one remedy to be antidotal to that of another - still, it can
only be after consulting MM that we can determine whether a certain
referenced "antidote" will have likelihood of usefulness in a given case.
