Rx for hip op

Hi Joy,
First I have to say this is a 71 yr old man who has been through such a lot
since I first saw him about 6 weeks ago! I wasn't planning on going into his
case as I just wanted to know if anyone gave anything other than the usual
Arnica before and after for this particular op!! They may not even do it now
and I hope they don't and I reckon he may not survive!! I will explain.
This man came to me because of a psoriasis that had recently occurred and
bright yellow fingernails. Thuja was indicated for lots of reasons and I
gave 30C split. A few days later his niece - a patient of mine- called and
said "my uncle didn't tell you but he has been having a problem with his
little toe and it is black!! " I got him straight in- no charge!! I didn't
like the look of it- he had seen 2 different doctors and they had prescribed
2 different anti biotics which had done nothing!! I gave Secale 30 and said
I want a phonecall later that day to say how it is progressing or he was to
go straight to A &E!! Later I was told that the black under the toe had
moved round leaving a pink space were it was and I was quite happy with this
and said again- any change straight to the hospital. I phoned daily -
continuing with the Secale and a couple of days later he said he was walking
on it better. He had been back to the doctor who said it was an ingrowing
toenail. The next I heard was a couple of days later when his niece phoned
to tell me that he was in hospital. She had insisted he went to Boots where
there is a chiropodist now because of the ingrowing toenail. (why didn't I
think of this!!) The Chiropodist took one look, phoned his doctor and had
him admitted to hospital, where he was immediately wired up to a drip with
wafarin (I think) as they reckoned he may lose his foot , let alone the toe
as it looked as if there was a blockage in the artery. So you get the
picture - 4 doctors by now had seen this toe and ignored it. Us
Complementary therapists think differently!!!
In hospital they pushed dyes up the leg and found a blockage in his thigh
and possible aneurysm in the aorta in the stomach. Meanwhile his son - an
alcoholic- had one too many and died!!! Aconite 200 sorted his poor wife out
who was having panic attacks because she had to identify the body. The
niece - who had completed my practical homeopathy course had phoned me for
something suitable. They let him out for the funeral!! His niece also gave
him Aconite 200. (That serves me right for putting 3 in an envelope!!)
I saw him this week. He still has his foot and toes - thanks to Secale I
reckon. They sent him home with an aspirin a day to take and they haven't
decided what to do about the blockage in the thigh!! Meanwhile the
appointment for the hip op has come through for next month. He wants it done
because sometimes it makes him limb (Please note the "sometimes"!!) However
he will make sure they know about the blockage at every stage. He has
already seen a consultant who says it's OK to go ahead with it. Personally I
don't reckon they should do it but with our NHS - who knows!!! I was very
impressed with his fingernails - there is clear new nail coming up below the
yellow. The psoriasis did get much better but is now coming up again. I have
repeated the Thuja 30 again and will see him just before the intended hip
op!! Oh yes he will be taking Echinacea HT for a fortnight before the op
date as I want to build up his immune system before he is set loose on
hospital germs!!
On well there has to be a moral in this one somewhere.
