Hello
I hope you're well xx
Welcome to our THC Newsletter.
This issue we’ve got the festivals we are attending, update on the mobile clinic and info on how we keep our info for/about you for GDPR purposes.
Glastonbury
Induction Days
We have already hosted all the induction days for this year. Thank you to everyone who attended. Great to see some new faces and lovely to meet those we already know. If you wanted to join us at an event and you haven’t got in touch (maybe you trained last year or previously) then get in touch ASAP info@thc.org.uk as we do have a few spaces left at certain events.
Here are the dates for this year:
Geronimo at Arley Park 24th-27th May Geronimo Festival
Glastonbury 26th-30th June https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/
Stainsby Folk Festival 19th-21st July http://www.stainsbyfestival.org.uk/
Larmer Tree Festival 118th-21st July Larmer Tree Festival
Deer Shed Festival 26th-28th July http://deershedfestival.com/
Cambridge Folk Festival 1st-4th August http://bit.ly/1DEpaoe
Green Gathering 1st-4th August http://www.greengathering.org.uk/
Boomtown 7th-11th August https://www.boomtownfair.co.uk/
Northern Green Gathering 15th-18th August https://www.facebook.com/northerngreengathering/
Solfest 23rd – 25th August http://www.solfest.org.uk/
We are doing our best to get into End of the Road this year and if that happens we will let those people know that have expressed an interest.
Paperwork
I know we all hate it, but it has to be attended to.
When you attend an Induction Day we cannot accept email submissions for forms.
The GDPR regulations, which are similar to the old data protections rules, state if we accept data from you via email, then we need to register with data protection. We are a small charity and to do that takes man-hours and money we don’t have ….so….
We have opted for your info to be kept as physical pieces of paper
It might seem old fashioned but it’s far easier for us coz of computer/software compatibility etc
A piece of paper is a piece of paper and we don’t need certain software, or even hardware (other than glasses!) to read it…..so please don’t stress if we ask you to copy your qualifications or insurance and post those to us…or to fill out a consent form and post.
Here is our Privacy Policy http://thc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/20 ... Policy.doc
Personal/Practice Info
On this list we have over 1000 subscribers and it really helps us if you keep your info with us up-to-date.
If you change your email/home/practice address PLEASE LET Jacqui KNOW! supporter@thc.org.uk
Jacqui has been doing sterling work to bring all our data up-to-date:) xx
The Homoeopathic Companion
I have now updated the Homoeopathic Companion for 2019.
If you are a supporter or subscriber (or just curious) please download it here:
http://thc.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/20 ... n-2019.pdf
It's a rather handy document which you're very welcome to keep or share as it includes some of the First Aid Homoeopathic Remedies we use at festivals and outdoor events.
Check all your data is correct or if it is missing please let me know news@thc.org.uk and if something isn’t correct, blame me and get in touch ASAP so I can correct it and re-upload before the festivals start.
The Homoeopathic Mobile Clinic
This Friday 31st May Marcus and I are hosting a Skype chat to talk about the Mobile Homoeopathy Clinic.
As we’ve said in previous Newsletters (and on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/121924671169998/
...we already have purchased the bus.
We now need a committee to start the process and make this happen.
We do have some people that are interested in helping and I will (again) record the audio of the session.
If you’d like to join us (max of 10 people) go to Skype and connect with Marcus
His Skype ID is pertwoodpie
Then come back on Friday at 8pm and we will do our best to connect with you!
Or you can email Marcus first on marcus@thc.org.uk and let him know you’re interested.
We will upload the audio to our Facebook Group Page after the event it you want to listen back
https://www.facebook.com/groups/121924671169998/
At the moment Alanda is looking after the bus ...
We can’t keep it grounded forever, we really need to get this show on the road...and with your help we can do that!
I hope you have a fab Summer and if you're helping us at a festival, thank you for that:) xx
Also a BIG THANX to ALL our supporters and friends:)
