Feeling others' pain

Hi Vanessa
This is a really interesting problem. I have heard of a lot of people who
have this problem and there are many solutions; put yourself in a psychic
bubble, put a cross on, hang minerals above the door your patients walk
through and a lot more. Practitioners who burn out will probably have picked
stuff up from their patients and not know what to do with it. Personally I
have always picked things up also. I think it makes for a complete
understanding of your patient but if you take it home it can cause you a
problem. The problems that stay with you though are probably symptoms you
have already and haven't yet managed to sort out. Knowing how to discharge
them is the key to solving this. You need to find your own way. I do it
energetically, by searching through my body, mentally, and when I find
something that doesn't feel right, just stay with it until it goes. I am
sorry if this sounds a bit vague but its easier to do than explain. The
ability to meditate helps with the process.
When this first started happening to me I called them 'possessions' because
thats what they felt like - someone elses energy inside me - but I now know
they are my own unresolved stuff. There are many people around the world who
have their own answers to this problem, depending on their own tradition but
basically the shamans are the ones who talk about it most clearly. You do
not have to go into another tradition to solve your problem though.
One more point. If you pick something up from another person and you stay in
their presence and you solve it for yourself you will solve it for them
also. This is the basis of homeopathy, treating like with like.
I am happy to talk to anyone about this personally.
