Repelling mosquitos, spilanthes can Calendula work for scars?

This got stuck on my desktop, but I figure I’ll send it anyway.

Based on Dale’s very interesting posts some time back about Spilanthes, and her finding that taken internally it does repel mosquitos, I’ve tried it — and it works!! Downside is that you need to take a fairly strong dose, and give it (how long?) maybe a day to two to build up in the blood, and effect only lasts as long as you keep up the dosing.

I was very weirded out about the idea of dosing myself with (so to speak) insecticide, so I googled lots about it, looking for mention of toxicity — and found none, only benefits mentioned.

I also had my muscle-testing chiro test it on me, and it actually tested GOOD!
A very interesting herb with many uses (and an interesting plant also).
