Rewind!!!!! Why 50% of the world is now insane

There are bad things happening in the world, and there are good things happening. There are bad people here—and there are good people! It DOES make a difference which things we are putting main attention on.
I’ve always liked the phrase, “Expect the best — but plan for the worst.” But the first importance is to EXPECT THE BEST; live with joy, live with love, and let’s be BUILDING THE THINGS THAT WE WANT AND NEED. (Some of us can macro-build, i.e. educate, research, create, etc. And the rest of us can micro-built: work one oneself; heal, learn, share; build community, build trust, build friendships.
Learn to be kind in the face of anger; learn to be strong in the face of fear, all that sort of good stuff….
(Easier said than done, yah I KNOW!)
The kind of thinking you describe, and in that article, and in Allen’s posts — that builds fear (and etc.). But what we need is faith, and also love, joy, contentment, generosity, creativity.
And YES we can do all of that, even while being aware of things that aren’t what we want / need.
That’s our karmic / dharmic / spiritual — and very PRACTICAL challenge in today’s world.
Because this kind of thinking, Vicki, tears a person down from the inside. Better to read instead about progress and possible solutions—and cultivate equanimity-in-the-face-of-whatever.
This I believe.!
