Hello everyone,

All infections have a pathogenic factors from without that matches
the susceptibility from within. If we are going to treat that which is
"from without" externally that would include all traumas, telluric and
atmospheric induced disorders, illness caused by bad food and water,
injuries, as well every type of infectious miasm, etc. I have treated
countless cases of scabies, mites, lice, and other vermin as well as fungal
disorders on the skin in India. I used to pick up scabies on my hands in
village campaigns but since curing them internally with the LM potency I
have never picked them up again. My cure rate of scabies and ringworm is
very high.

Not so long ago I treated an entire poor family with scabies with
internal remedies without hygienic support. They continued to use the same
blankets and clothes and live in a village where scabies was an epidemic
but they were cured and did not get them again. I cured body lice in a
patient who had them for months and could not kill them of with every type
of poison. If you cure the terrain of the constitution the bugs will die
and the person becomes more resistant to infections in the future. Even
with a very high cure rate of skin infections (I would guess around 95%)
there are still a few cases which are notorious failures! Now is it the
system of homoeopathy or the homoeopath who failed?

It is very obvious to me that I personally failed by not finding the
correct remedy or remedies in those cases. When you fail the patient must
seek relief somehow and may have to use external means. That is ok but to
discount the entire system because of personal failure? That is wrong. Such
diseases take homoeopaths who understand how to treat them. If one hasn't
cured such things that is because they don't, as of yet, know how.

Burnett's failure to cure scabies was based on the fact that he tried
to use Sulphur as a specific rather than treating each patient as an
individual. If I gave Sulphur to all my scabies cases I would also fail on
most patients. Sulphur only works internally on patients with the signs and
symptoms of Sulphur. Sulphur works externally by killing the bugs not
curing the patient. I have found the LM potency really works well on such
cases. When I only used the Cs my cure rate was lower.

There are no incurable diseases - only patients that were not cured.
Homoeopathy has cured "everything" at one time or another but it has also
failed in similar cases. This shows what can be done if one applies the
best means. Nevertheless, we all fail and have to take secondary measures
on occasions. In such cases essential oils will usually remove mights and
lice. Some cases nothing, including allopathic poisons, work! I have cured
such cases with internal remedies after all others methods have failed. I
have also failed in the last several years on one case of scabies and one
case of ringworm out of many.

When this happens there is no need to make up false maxims based on
allopathicoid thinking as if the constitution and the skin are separate
issues. The unity of the skin and internal terrain is a fundamental
principle of the Organon and Chronic Diseases. Let us except our failures
as just that - "our failures". If a person finds some relieve by another
channel so be it although they are not really cured until the constitution
becomes resistant and there is a risk of side effects do to suppression.
Sometimes the individual has to assess risk verses quality of life issues,
etc., and make a choice. This happens to most individuals at one time or
another with one thing or another so there is no need to build a gigantic
personal or professional ego. One must just do the best they can and live
with the circumstances as they are presented.

This is the sort of thing I wanted to hear.
I have been waiting for someone to tell of their success using the approach. Now I can continue to support this approach within
myself, knowing that it is not just speculation or theory.

Hi David

You Used the term " cure the terraine of the constitution". Does this mean
you used 1. a miasmic nosode to change the terrain , or 2. did you used a
constitutional remedy to alter the terrain , or 3. a well selected remedy? I
wrestle witht his concept of what exactly is terrain - our miasmic
inheritance establishes our inherited terrain - yes no? While our
constitutional state is a reflection of this miasmic mix in how we interpret
lifes energetic disturbances. At least as I have come to understand
definitions. So then what exactly is the terrain - miamic or
constitutuional??
Would appreciate a better definition than my somewhat confused
interpretation.

when I have cured 100s of similar cases? I have seen scabies disappear so
fast under correct treatment that I have also been amazed. That is a
marvelous thing to see because it lets on know it CAN be done! I did not
find it all that easy with the single dry dose wait and watch method, but
over the last 18 years of using the medicinal solution of the C and LM
potency, and the split-dose when necessary, it has become somewhat routine.

The principle of curing infections of the skin within to without
certainly has been clinically proven. This is an essential part of the
anti-psoric treatment. Just knowing it is possible, however, is not enough,
especial when the patient is itching to death and spreading scabies to
everyone around them! Sometimes one has to do what is second best in the
moment and then regroup with a better strategy. This includes all the times
we must seek allopathic help in a emergency. Fortunately, over the years, I
have found that such interventions are very rare indeed even with the most
acute and deadly forms of disease. I would not, however, refuse antibiotics
to a typhoid or meningitis case when I can't find the remedy quickly. After
all, one can't regroup and regularize a case when the patient is dead!

PS. As far as head-body lice goes I have also had success. Head lice do
not live in the skin like scabies. They do not really infect the skin. They
bite through it and suck blood. It sometimes takes a while to remove the
susceptibility through the internal means. Sometimes, the use of external
hygienic measures many be needed to prevent the spread of the lice.
Essential oils work very well in removing lice that suck blood but internal
treatment to lower susceptibility is necessary. Psoric children are very
susceptible. I have cured cases of lice in which no external treatment was
able to stop.

the entire human mind/body constitution so in this sense ALL homoeopathic
treatment effects the human constitution from within to without in
different degrees.

All homoeopathic remedies work on the terrain through the medium of the
organic vital force. It is through changing the internal climate that
remedies remove the effects of trauma as well as acute and chronic
diseases. It is the internal aura, atmosphere, tone or tuning of the human
organism (Gr. stimmung) that contains susceptibility and predisposition.
These factors condition all the reactions of the human organism and affect
the pathways of disease. That is why one person gets influenza and throws
it off in a few days while another dies from respiratory complications in
one week. It is the same germ but the patient was different. The same is
true with the chronic miasms. In the human organism the whole is much more
than the sum of its parts. So first, we must understand what makes up a
human being and what the terms constitution and temperament really means
and what it rules over.
All diseases are initially a mistunement of the vital force that
deranges the functions of the organism producing the signs and symptoms we
call disease (Org. aph 11). During this process the internal atmosphere of
the complete organism is changed to a state in which disease processes
thrive. So all diseases mistune the instinctive vital force and the
physical organism which two sides of one whole (Org aph. 15). The nosodes
are only one of many possible remedies that can change the internal tuning
of the organism. Nosodes are only used when the signs, symptoms and
conditions call for their employment.

Nosodes are usually remedies because they can either be used as a full
simillimum or an chronic intercurrent to remove obstacles to the cure posed
by miasms. I cured one case of body lice with Psorinium because the patient
was nervous, chilly and felt as if he was in such "poor health" that he
felt depressed, hopeless and impoverished as well as had the peculiar
rancid smell of this nosode, etc.. In other words the essential nature of
the totality of the symptoms suited the patient and their disease. In this
case the nosode was a simillimum as well as his anti-miasmatic remedy.
All chronic homoeopathic prescriptions will alter the terrain of the
constitution when well indicated This includes mineral, plant and animal
remedies as well as nosodes, sarcodes and imponderabilia. The key is
knowing by the nature of causes, signs, befallments, symptoms and attendant
circumstances which remedy should be employed in that particular
individual. The second important factor is the posology and case management
strategy.
All homoeopathic remedies must be well selected to cure. That always
comes first. A poorly selected remedy will do little.
An individual's dynamic and physical terrain is primarily influenced by
their innate constitution and temperament (nature). This is the primary
conditioning factor in predispositions, susceptibility and the pathways of
the disease. Then comes environmental stress and other outer conditioning
factors (nurture). It is impossible to separate the innate constitution
from the inherited miasms as they come together at the time of conception.
At birth everyone is already the sum total of the inherited predispositions
of the material and paternal lineages as well as the unique qualities of
the incarnating soul.
1. Innate constitution and temperament is that with which we are born. This
is what Hahnemann called the congenital constitution in aphorism 81. This
holds the patient's prenatal predispositions, susceptibility, inherited
factors and conditions their pathways of disease.

2. Miasms are the effects of infectious diseases. This produces a very
wide spectrum of auto-immune disorders and immuno-deficiency diseases that
are called by all sorts of different names. The allopathic school
contributes more and more degenerative chronic diseases to these causes,
but as of yet they do not understand how wide spread the phenomena really
is. These are some of the hardest cases to cure because the organism's own
disease-tuned defenses are the destroying the patient. Chronic miasms may
be inherited or acquired.

a. The inherited miasms form part of the innate constitution and
temperament. They mistune the human organism from the time of conception.
For example, grandfather had TB and grandson is born a thin nervous person
with pipe stem bones with a narrow chest who always catches colds and
coughs, has swollen glands, tends toward hectic-like fevers, suffer easy
night sweats, bleeds easily, and has a very cosmopolitan nature. This
inherence has given the individual a phthisical constitution and the
symptoms of pseudopsora right from the start. To separate the constitution
from the inherited miasms is impossible as they are present from
conception. The basic nature of his body structure will not change (he will
not become large boned) but the vital functions and vitality can be
maximized by homoeopathic treatment.

b. The acquired miasms affect the post natal constitution and temperament.
They mistune the internal atmosphere from the moment of infection to death
and are passed on to the next generation in the form of inherited miasms.
These from congenital layers of disease. The acquired miasms (as well as
acquired non miasmatic disorders) are postnatal layers which are taken on
after birth.

Some cases are a mixture of inherited and acquired miasms. For example,
our TB miasms grandson's sexy tubercular nature gets them involved to
promiscuous sex where they catch gonorrhea which is suppressed causing him
to acquire sycosis. Now his original optimistic cosmopolitan nature takes
on a darker hue where he become more morose, secretive, negative, angry,
brooding and jealous. Now there is a acquired sycotic layer on top of an
inherited tubercular miasm. This disease will at first form layers of
active and more represses symptoms where the sycotic symptoms become more
dominate but over time they may form a complex disorder where both traits
can be witnessed depending on time and circumstances.

The cure to this state demands careful chronic treatment so that first
the sycosis is removed and then the tubercular miasm is address by the
organism. In some cases this may take place with one good simillimum, while
in others it may take a series of well chosen remedies to do the job. One
case may need the use of nosodes as a simillimum or as intercurrents and
another may not. This all depends on the nature of the disease state and
the time and circumstances. In homoeopathy one has to be open to any and
all possibilities because our healing art is a system of flexible response
that is tailored to individual. There are no "cook book" recipes for
treating patients or mechanical schedules of remedies that suit all
patients under all circumstance.

David, I'm not sure what you mean by the last sentence.
Let's say that the boy is constitutionally Sulphur. So the Tub is a
miasmatic overlay. if we give Tub the gadfly mentality might go, and we are
left with remaining sulphur mental symptoms. Problem: how can we know there
are two sets of mental symptoms and which belongs to which. is this what you
mean?

Or, are you saying that we can't any longer find an clear sulphur state
because it has been conjoined with the tubercular influence right from the
start?

In your example one is perceiving that their is a difference in the
express between what you call a sulphur constitution and a tubercular

Yes, the above example the constitutional expression and inherited miasms
were one. What I said above is a scenario that often happens but it is not
absolute. I have also seen cases where the inherited miasm and the
constitution where different strata of symptoms. So, again, it is a
question of individualization. So both your statements are relatively
correct depending on the circumstances.,

yes a good point. but does this mean, an entirely new pattern can emerge? if
so, and since there has been so much miasmatic suppression in the last
century, many patterns that would otherwise have been rare are manifesting?
i guess its a pretty speculative issue but since you have a lot of clinical
experience you may have some comments.

the external manifestations are suppress certain internal diseases are
becoming more common but also new internal states are produced with every
increasing pathology. Many diseases that were usually seen only in adults
are appearing in children, etc. I think HIV is the natural evolution of
the miasms to more virulent deadly states with the concomitant decline of
the human immune system. So far we have passed from psora (passed by skin
contact) to pseudopsora (airborne TB). This is step in the direction of
more virulent and deeply. We also have sycosis to syphilis and now HIV
(blood produces and VD). This is also a step in more virulent and deadly
directions. There is also the man-made miasm, vaccinosis. So what's next?
Could it be a Super-psora that is an airborne chronic disease that kills
like HIV? God only knows?
