strange skin thing

Today I notice a sizable bright red dot on my thigh. It was 1/4” diameter.
In the center of this dot was a tiny spot that looked like a hole (insect assault?)
It was not raised or itchy or painful so it got ignored till a few hours later.
Coming from the red dot was a line that actually formed a heart shaped pattern.
This was about 2” across and was in an outline . Again no sensations of any sort.
When I scratched the red dot a spec of something solid came loose.
Has anyone ever seen or heard of such a reaction pattern?
FYI, have been working in garden. This a.m. the no-see-ems were violent and I ran from the garden to
get some vinegar for protection. I also am around thistles which have those tiny prickly hairs which have
never done this to me before.
Any insight will be appreciated

Could have been a tick in the early stages – I call them seed ticks – we get them here in QLD Australia – little black dot about size of a small pin head – hard to see – but can still pack a punch depending on your susceptibility to them and their venom?
Often start to itch after a while?? Some get virtually no reaction other than a red spot others will swell and get a big reaction?

Hi Tanya;
I had a similar experience several years ago while discing down a section of very thorney Blackberry bushes. Somehow one of the plants branches was high enough to hit me on the thigh sticking with a throne into the front of the thigh. I don't remember any residue left in the puncture. The incident resulted in a 1/4" reddish dot that has stayed with me all these years.
Just a little humour here however. I have a habit of speed reading articles pre a closer look at details. At first I thought you said, "FBI, have been working in the gardens, but it was FYI. 8 >D
Unfortunately this not all that helpful other than the similarity of thistle punctures.

Actually Bob, your comment is useful. It validates my suspicion that it
was from the burrs and that the 1/4" red dot, being more than similar, is a common response to this type of plant material. The infection that ran out from the dot receded with a couple of days after treatment with Low Level Laser. The heart shape was really such a bizarre patterning I just had to check other's experiences.

That's good - we wouldn't need the FBI in the garden then. ; >)

I had some pencil lead stuck in my skin as a child. It seems to have disappeared, inward or outward I don't know. I remember the initial accident and then the ghost lead in my skin.

Me too Ellen - As a kid in public school I was stabbed in the arm with a pencil. I remember the teacher messaging the area in an attempt to remove any graphite reside. I still have a dull grey spot beside the vaccination scar. Guess one could say that arm is the toxic waste dump.

I wonder if that gray spot is actually a bit of lead or just a stain from it.
Wouldn'’t a detox protocol help remove any residue that is left?

Something I have thought about too. However, given the amount of detoxing I have done over years, things remain unchanged.
