Hi Shannon

I am just wondering whether the action is because of nascent chlorine – that is to say newly formed Chlorine gas out of the compound disassociation in presence of acids. Nascent chemicals are high power radicals!

Hi Soroush,
Most of that I knew, and the rest of it does not surprise me. I would not use it recreationally, and I would not use it carelessly or casually. I would do just what I did, and read a whole lot of experience, advice, cautions, and experiences from the many people who have used it extensively, and for a very wide variety of issues.
Everything that I wrote here about my own and my family's experiences is precisely true. Clearing up my spider bite (In a day or two, after a week of worsening), and clearing up my sister's badly infected leg (that may have taken a few days) were my most impressive first hand experiences with it, but having my gums grow back, that has had me pretty darned impressed also.
By the way, I do not consider Wikipedia an ultimate authority in healthcare matters; I will remind you how intelligently they write about homeopathy. That said, it is certainly true that MMS is a potent product which needs to be used respectfully and with guidance. The description they have given of it is basically accurate, so when using it (HIGHLY diluted per instructions!!!) to brush the teeth, try to avoid splashing onto any brightly colored clothing!
End of my end of this off-topic rant...

Well, I don’t know, but it does sound like what you’re describing.

Once it’s activated (mixed with the acid, and beginning to release odor), it stays potent for only about (if I remember right) ten minutes. Tho once put into a larger amount of water, e.g. the bath, apparently much longer; dilution slows all of the reactions.
