If I make a cream I use the herbal tincture. I suppose you could use a medicating potency but I wouldn't have thought you can use pellets.

Hello Deb,
If I were going to make a cream and only had pellets I would dissolve two pellets in a drop of water, then I would add 95% alcohol to that water, as much alcohol as needed to mix with the cream and whip them together for a good mix.
Warmly, Maria

Unless you want perfect accuracy, I put botanicals in a jar with a tight fitting lid and add vodka. If it is a wetter herb add a higher alcohol content. If drier a bit more water. Cover, shake daily and strain then filter. You have tincture.
I made about 15 or twenty of them this year. Yes I have Ruta, Rhus tox, Calendula ( two gallons still steeping, milfoleum, Phytolacca root and berries, abrotanum, plantago major, hypericum. Vitebsk agnus castes, symphytum, Melissa, Quercia, and prob many more. If anyone wants a complete list am happy to comply.

For ankle sprain the best remedy usually is strontium carb. You can dissolve 5 globules of strontium carb 30 in a cup of water and take a spoon thrice a day for three days.
Best regards
Elham

I wonder why Arnica has gotten all the thunder for sprains.
I keep forgetting about strontium carb, so have never used it but now will really keep it in mind.

There are still other remedies for sprains. One of my first patients was a middle-aged woman who was still on crutches 3 months after spraining her ankle. None of the usual remedies worked. I was stumped, until I realized her nondescript presentation extended to her character. Kali-c. cleared her sprain in a day or two.
Peace,
Dale
