Homeopathic Movie Database

I am proposing a database of movies that give a good experience of homeopathic remedies. Some of the remedies that I am offering as examples (see below) are “new” remedies, recently proven. I realize that many don’t see much value to these remedies. I was on the fence about them in the 90’s. At the time many Indian homeopaths were saying “we have gotten by with the same main remedies for all these years. we don’t need these new remedies.” I didn’t know either way.
Then in 1995 I was in India and a young woman (pseudonym Tanya, 27 y.o.) asked me to take her case. She had the worst acne I had ever seen which was her chief complaint, in her opinion. I started taking her case and realized that she was living a modern western lifestyle. She was completely alienated from her family. Her mother was a professional woman who had divorced. Tanya had a history of cutting herself. At her age she would have been considered almost a spinster, by conventional Indian standards. And she was traveling by herself, without any close relationships. She had very short cropped hair with an androgynous appearance. I asked her if she like short hair, and she lit up! "Yeah! I love short spikey hair.” Everything indicated the remedy Chocolate.
She was leaving soon so I gave her a bottle of 200c Chocolate and told her to take a single dose. We communicated by email and she complained that the acne had gotten a lot worse. She had taken multiple doses. I told her to stop taking it and wait. I didn’t see or communicate with her again until 6 months later.
When I did see Tanya again she was totally transformed. Acne was completely gone. She looked very soft and feminine. She still had short hair but it was not straight, rather more styled. She had a (western) boyfriend who she married not long after. She was reconciled with her mother and sister.
This experience convinced me that the new remedies do have their place, though how often is still certainly a question to consider.
Recently on my flight home to Mexico I was able to watch the movie “Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” It totally represents the Chocolate remedy. The central issue of the main character, Wille Wonka, is alienation from society and his family, his father in particular. This is the central issue of the Chocolate remedy. While watching the movie I had my repertory software open and I identified close to 40 rubrics containing Chocolate that seemed to be illustrated in the movie. Only one character of the dozen or so in the movie has hair that goes to the shoulders. All the rest have short hair. See the rubrics below.
MIND - ESTRANGED - society, from
MIND - ESTRANGED - family; from his
GENERALS - FOOD and DRINKS - chocolate - desire

MIND - UNFEELING
MIND - MOCKING - sarcasm
MIND - THREATENING
MIND - DELUSIONS - strange - familiar things seem strange
MIND - CONFUSION of mind - intoxicated - as if

A lot of the WW movie has scenes using strong primary colors
MIND - COLORS - red - aversion to - maroon (Willie Wonka wears a maroon jacket)
MIND - COLORS - green - aversion to
MIND - COLORS - yellow - desire for
MIND - COLORS - blue - aversion to
MIND - SENSITIVE - colors, to
CHILL - CHILLINESS (WW plays out during the winter, with many snowy scenes)
GENERALS - HEAT - lack of vital heat
ABDOMEN - DISTENSION - evening
GENERALS - FOOD and DRINKS - juicy things - desire
Here are some other movies that I think represent various remedies:
Monkeybone, by Henry Selick (2001) - Hyocyamus
Terminator 2 by James Cameron (1991) - Mercurious
Limbo by John Sayles (1999) - Oncor-t (Salmon)
The Big Blue by Luc Besson (1988) - Lac-del
Paul Herscu feels that one of the central characters of The Big Blue is Medorrhinum. But there is overlap between Lac-del and Med where this character is concerned. These are the Lac-del characteristics that he displays:
MIND - DANGER - surrounded by - calm; yet
MIND - ACTIVITY - desires activity
MIND - AFFECTIONATE
MIND - AMUSEMENT - desire for
MIND - AMOROUS
MIND - ANTICS; playing
MIND - CHEERFUL
MIND - FEARLESS
MIND - FEARLESS - water, in the
MIND - JESTING
MIND - LAUGHING
MIND - PLAYFUL
MIND - TRANQUILLITY
MIND - WATER - loves
The main protagonist is entirely Lac-del, no question.
I hope you will consider recommending to me Movies or strong characters in Movies that represent certain homeopathic remedies well. I think it is a valuable way to “experience” remedies that you have never been able to prescribe…. Yet! I will be putting up the database on my website (www.canhealyourself.com) for anyone to peruse.
Send me the Title, Director, Year and remedy of the movie. Also send a link to where the movie can be seen.
If it is a single character then include their name and actor name.
It must be a movie/character where there is very little question about the remedy.
I will also consider posting titles of Novels and Characters that represent remedies well.
