Why not at least make a “can we not…” and state which part of it you’re having trouble with?

Or, describe what *isn’t* happening that you would like to see?

While no group is ever going to always make everyone happy, it’s certainly not anyone’s goal here to chase anyone away. Before deciding to throw in the towel, why not offer the benefit of the doubt, by speaking up for what you want, and describing what it is you’re having trouble with?
