hot showers make me worse

I have lower back pain on and off …every few years…takes about two weeks
to go away. By the time I make an appt with osteopath..the pain has gone away.
But I have noticed that whenever the water in the shower is too hot(which I
like but periodically forget it is bad for me)…that is when the next day
I'll get the back pain. I hardly ever exercise except general moving around so
I'm guessing the hot water is like a form of exercise for my body and I suffer
from something like over-exercising in the shower. It is like an inflammation.
I feel better from some exercises but until the two weeks is up…it hurts
..pressure from massage does not help. I feel like saying I have the flu or a
cold in my lower back. Does anyone have any ideas?
