Dear Friends and Clients,
Yes, Homoeopathy URGENTLY needs your help. And I am sorry for the VERY late appeal!
For those of you who have experienced first hand the benefits of homoeopathy, you will have been left in no doubt as to the tremendous benefit that this Traditional Medicine can bring in assisting in the management of common ailments.
Homoeopathy is currently under threat in Australia due to the TGA seriously and imminently considering the re-classification of Homoeopathic medicines. This means that you may be unable to purchase Homoeopathic medicines in Australia, or see a homoeopath who is able to prescribe them to you. And this would take effect in the very near future.
In order to help prevent this from happening, you can make a VERY SIMPLE submission to the TGA, but it must be submitted by midnight Friday night, 12th May! You still have time to make this simple submission. It's really not complicated.
The general thrust is that the TGA is currently considering re-classifying homoeopathic medicines as non-therapeutic goods (OPTION 4). This poses a number of problems, not the least of which would be the inability to purchase homeopathic medicines from pharmacies, or even be able to obtain them as a prescription from a homoeopath.
The TGA has proposed FOUR OPTIONS of classification for consideration. Homoeopathic medicines are currently classified as 'low-risk' and currently under their Option 1. There are three other classifications/options on the table, and it seems the TGA is preferring Option 4, which would mean that homeopathic medicines would NO LONGER BE CLASSIFIED AS THERAPEUTIC, and poses a number of legal issues for homeopaths, not to mention homoeopathic manufacturers and pharmacies. IT WOULD ALSO RESTRICT ACCESS TO OVER-THE-COUNTER HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINES, AS WELL AS YOUR ABILITY TO PURCHASE THEM ONLINE.

In your submission, you need to SUPPORT OPTION 1, which is the current classification, and REFUTE OPTION 4, for the above reasons.

You simply click on the link, fill out the form with regard to basic personal details, as a private individual, and upload your comments/submission/appeal in the form of a SEPARATE WORD DOCUMENT. It doesn't have to be long. Just say in a few words why you wish to continue to have access to homeopathic medicines in Australia, and to be able to choose your own form of adjunctive healthcare, etc, and that you SUPPORT OPTION 1, (the current classification which does not restrict access to homoeopathic medicines) and are STRONGLY NOT IN FAVOUR OF OPTION 4 (the re-classifying of homoeopathic remedies as non-therapeutic). You can also choose an option, once your form has been submitted, of not having your submission published on the TGA website, or only your comments but not your personal details. So, it can remain entirely private if you wish.
Your right to choose your basic adjunctive form of healthcare is at stake! This is happening right now.
