Constipation

Everyone I'd I know over 70 seems to have this problem. My mother wouldn't
go for a week and I'd give her arnica or sulfur and she'd go within a half
hour. Others try prunes and olive oil by the tablespoon . I tried giving the
lady I take care of a salad every day with raw vegetables and cooked
vegetables and that doesn't seem to work but once in a while . Or drinking a
lot of water. Anyone have any ideas?

I would deal with maintaining factors first:
increase water and veg as you are and also
Magneisum (I use the one Mercola sells - he has articles too
http://products.mercola.com/magnesium-supplement/
Also can use sodium ascorbate C to bowel tolerance spread through the day NutriBiotic or Vitamin C Foundation sodium ascorbate is non GMO
Good luck

Rub in a load of Magnesium oil spray (actually a saturated solution of magnesium chloride)onto the skin. A lot of constipation is due to lack of Magnesium. My patients tell me this works for them.

I would add a good probiotic and work on improving the gut biome with veggies
that particularly feed the good ones, like Broccoli.
I would also use calcium bentonite clay in tea, water, or however you prefer to hydrate it.

My constitutional remedy regularized my bowel movements.

it may be, but sounds like long term and if gets colon cleaned out, maybe will be regular or may need a remedy
pretty much all are deficient in C, but you are right, it may just be only a laxative effect and not anything that will be permanent. But certainly is a non-toxic way to get things moving and see.
And may be magnesium deficiency or not enough water, etc
And probably needs constitutional treatment.

Get the right constitutional remedy.
If it is in the repertory for constipation it means it has cured it.
A recent geriatric client with constipation needed Alum. She is doing very well.

I did give the 94 year old alum 6c and she started pooping a little more. I
chose that because of the little balls and her eyes got all red around the
eyes twice after eating potatos. I told the daughter not to give her potatos
for a while and four days later I see that she gave her a baked potato the
previous night's dinner and things went back to infrequent. I also thought
the alum helped her wobbley legs. And then they got wobbley again. It is too
soon to know if she will rally again or not. I'm going to try some of that
mercola mag and some vitamin c liquid soon.

It is powdered Sodium Ascorbate C (non GMO NutriBiotic or Vitamin C Foundation) and you add it to water or juice - that makes it liquid
http://www.wellwithin1.com/vitamincandd3.htm
and the Magnesium is Magnesium L-Threonate
