Post Surgery issues

Post by Ellen Madono »

What probiotics do you use?

I finished cataract surgery without any problems, but I was having diarrhea after 4 days of steroids and antibiotic pills. After a week, I only have to take antibiotics and steroids as drops in the eyes. But the skin around my eyes look very baggy. I have to continue the drops for 3 month. So, it seems that I need a counter plan of action.
The other eye will be operated on next week, so things will get worse on the allopathic killing pathogen front.

I have been eating Dr. Roz's favorite brussel sprouts to strengthen my liver assuming that they will breakdown the medications after they have done their damage.

What is your protocol post surgery?
I used Dr. Roz's symphatum, Arnica montanica and Staphasagria one dose and it probably helped. My eye balls look a bit bloody for the first few days and I cleared it up with Arnica montana. I am taking Calendula officinalis 30c in liquid several time a day. I am temped to skip some of the 3 x day eye drops (steroids and antibiotics) because in my experience Calendula works. On the other hand, I really don't know how the inside of my eyes looks. No means to judge. They just say everything is as expected.) My cats had their sexual organs removed and they did fine on only Calendula officinalis. But the, those organs are not exposed to the air and the wound healed very fast on their belly.
Furthermore, suddenly, I cannot do Aikido. (My cats were jumping of 6 foot shelves in 2 days.) You use no strength in Aikido except for falling gracefully and getting up. Throwing is just using the other person's force. Anyway, I am following doctor's orders for a whole month. Aikido looks impressive, but the doctor does not know that it requires no strength. I guess the idea is the tiny incision where the cataract lens was sucked out could open up with added blood pressure in the eyeballs. (I have low blood pressure) There were no stitches. The incision is very tiny. A few millimeters. They say they don't want any pressure in my eyes, so the doctor says "don't lift anything." Sounds crazy to me. We live in Japan where much of life occurs on the floor. Of course, I have to use my belly muscles to stand up. But, I don't have any special knowledge for a counter argument. Groan.
How do you think about these post surgery issues? For now, I am following doctor's orders, but am I eager to ignore the prescribed frequency of antibiotics and steroids. Also, I should figure out a way to get refrigerated antibiotics. I am making yogurt and other fermented foods now.
Best,
Ellen Madono

Do NOT practice Aikido, please, until both your eyes are back to normal.

The problem is not rising from the floor, either from sitting or lying, but from falling and rolling, with changes in pressure that might open the incisions, as small as they could be and get you into a LOT of trouble.

I do not understand the need for taking general antibiotics, BTW...take the most complete probiotic you can find, i.e. the one with the greatest variety of bugs in it and for at least one month after finishing the antibiotics.
