Two different website (thus far) have published my newest article on "Extreme Bias in FTC's Ruling on Homeopathic Medicine".

It is about time that someone (!) stood-up and provided a real analysis and critique of this governmental regulatory agency...and this article has already gotten a lot of attention...and this attention is going to grow substantially when MERCOLA.COM publishes this article next Tuesday (December 6).

As you may realize, it takes a lot of my professional time to write and research such articles...and then, I send earlier drafts of my article to 10 or so colleagues for feedback on the content and the tone of the article...and then, once it is published, it takes further time and attention to promote it to our community.

Because of all of this time and effort, I need (!) the support of the homeopathic community, and to that end, I've created an Indiegogo campaign to support this "Homeopathic Medicine Advocacy." If you appreciate this advocacy work for our field, please show some support. If I do not get adequate support, I will simply return to full-time homeopathic practice, like 99% of homeopaths do...and yet, it seems that someone (!) has to advocate for homeopathy in the media.

Because I have been watching your articles shared on the Huffington Post and, especially with this one, I am noting that people are finally not being so negative in the comments they are leaving-- most of what I've seen in response to this article of yours are very positive-- I am seeing things evolving very positively for you, and for homeopathy. I hope things will turn out well, as far as support for your Indiegogo project!
I have shared your article on my email list, that I run for practitioners utilizing homeoprophylaxis. Along with this, I also shared the FTC's actual statement, which is here:

In light of the need you state, Dana, of homeopaths finally needing to speak up and stand up for ourselves, I thought I would also share with you and everyone here on Minutus some thoughts that were shared with me from Dr. Robert Melo of OHM Pharma, a well-established homeopathic pharmacy headquartered in the US. He works hard with his company to comply with HPUS regulations and likes to keep things on the table to help homeopathy re-gain its status once again in healthcare in the US.

Regarding this ruling by the FTC, Robert basically sees this FTC ruling, suggesting for OTC homeopathic products to have additional disclaimers, as further work on something they've actually been working on for over a year now. (Did anyone here take in any of the FDA hearings regarding this a year ago, April? Those were pretty interesting-- but Robert said the FDA is still trying to figure out what exactly to do now.)

In Robert's opinion, these disclaimers the FTC is now suggesting will actually probably help more than harm the name of Homeopathy.

He said the market for homeopathy has grown so much over the last few years that it has surprised all governmental agencies. And he says this is simply an attempt by the FTC to "educate" the public more. But the ironic thing here is that, what they don't realize is that they public is already educated (which is why they are opting for homeopathy!), so these new disclaimers will likely just reinforce what the consumer already knows.

He says he actually sees these new disclaimers as being very positive, as they will likely prevent money-driven attorneys from filing class action lawsuits against OTC homeopathic product manufacturers/distributors, basically making it a more secure and safer path for the growth of homeopathy.

Knowing how closely Robert works to keep things in line with what the HPUS says, I am assured by what he has shared.
