I have a kitty who has a packed cell volume of under 10 and there is not much hope. This showed up very suddenly today - he has been hiding it until now.
My vet gave him a short-acting steroid injection, and advised we see if he responds over the next 24 hours. Felv and FIV test is negative.
Since I got him home, I have been giving him Carbo Veg 30c and Phos 30c but was not seeing any improvement. I also gave him some Karo syrup and did see some improvement.
Is there any homeopathic that might be of help?

Do a search for whatever the name of the problem is plus the word "homeopathy". For example, if the problem is anemia, look up "anemia homeopathy" and you will get dozens of hits with suggestions from homeopathic practitioners and/or doctors. You can also use that search with the word "cat" added such as "anemia homeopathy cat" or some such thing. Then, just match your cat's symptoms with the suggestions that come from your search and choose the remedy that most closely matches the symptoms.

BTW, I liked your song very much and the story of Lil Tyke. Here is another story about Lil Tyke but this one is a vegetarian lion. You may have heard of this one but here it is.
Also, have you tried some iron formulas for your cat? Maybe something from the supermarket and/or a homeopathic remedy such as Ferrum Phos which is iron phosphate. You can get it in 6x cell salts in most health food stores.
God bless you for your good work with cats.

Cheri,
Here is a website you might want to check: http://www.theinternetpetvet.com/natura ... dogs-cats/
It doesn't contain any homeopathic suggestions but it does point out the many ways in which a pet can become anemic. It's important to pin down the cause of your cat's sudden anemia -- e.g., parasites, hemoangiosarcoma, autoimmune disorder, etc. With dogs, eating onions can cause a certain type of anemia -- is this true with cats as well?
Knowing the probable cause would make the condition easier to treat.
Peace,
Dale

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, this kitty became so ill so fast, we were unable to even complete a diagnostic workup to find the cause of the anemia. Even a transfusion did not buy us enough time, and he passed away.
I have rescued hundreds of animals Each loss breaks my heart, but I try to learn from each experience and use the knowledge to help the next one. I will definitely save the information you provided and it may help in the future. Thank you.

I'm so sorry. The suddenness of his falling ill and dying makes me think of an injury to the spleen or perhaps a tumor on it.
Peace,
Dale
