I am so excited to see Monsanto dragged into a universal court in Europe.

They have lost their glyphosate license/permit in europe for 15 yrs and

their latest effort for a merger will surely suffer from this bad publicity.

Due to some difficult finances recently I have stopped giving any donations but

broke my rule and sent some money to this cause and encourage others to

do so, too.

Wow, very exciting news -- but googling on "Monsanto on trial" brings up less exciting links. I can't take time to read thoroughly just now, but it looks like this is not a trial in a... what, not in an "official" court, might not carry the weight we would wish.
Still, publicity to the issues is GOOD! (And IMO certainly worth a few bucks; will do that!)

Do you know what the "best possible outcome" might be -- do you know if there would be any legal teeth, or more about "making the case" for any who are not yet convinced?

I think it will all depend on grassroots broadcasting the information. Groups like Alliance for Health, EWG, Organic Consumers of America, etc will do a big effort to get out the word. However, we need to all do some educating of others and try to get at least the so-called left-progressive press online to participate in this, too.

Even letters to the editor with your local papers would go a long way to inform people and help build a bigger movement.

We already know that the vast majority of the country wants foods to at least be labeled. I think if better educated the movement would do better to join the rest of the world that promotes banning GMO agriculture and the use of the very toxic glyphosate.
