Thank you for the suggestions, Allen. Arnica is in water dish, mouth tissue is too sore to approach. Apparently there's a higher prevalence of this condition (stomatitis) in So. Calif. I'm in Los Angeles. I've read where it can develop in cats who've had/have herpes or calici virus. Looks to be a few pages in Colin Lessel's table of contents that specifically address dental, but the book is out of print currently per Amazon. Lockie's book is available. I'll read up on the other suggested remedies but may need a consult as this is deeper than inflammation.
