Have had a 4 yr old in with hypermobility amongst other more pressing things. Am I right in thinking that Calc Fl Cell salts may be a help or is that a figment of my imagination?!!
Thanks

Yes that's my understanding too, that it might indeed.
Do you see any fit with the broader homeopathic picture of calc-fl? Want to write any more about the case?

The 4 yr old child was bought to me because of the consistency of her bowel movements which happen 5 or 6 times a day , are muddy/sludgy (not diarrhoea) unformed and unnoticed with a penetrating foul odour. She has had tests and scans and the best the consultants can do is to give lactulose which of course is useless. I took one look at this child and there is a lot more wrong with her than mum is acknowledging. I personally think she has Marfan’s syndrome and have asked mum to get the doctor to run tests for this. She has had Thyroid, full bloods, bone density and creatine Kinase 2 years ago and all were clear.

Hi Rochelle

What other signs of Marfan’s syndrome are there?

I am not a medical doctor which is why I have told Mum to check this up. I may be wrong. She seemed to have a Marfan’s look about her. 25% apparently are from gene mutation rather than genetically from a parent.

1) Hypermobility (sat up at 10 months, crawled at 15 months, walked at 2 years)

2) Speech defects (she has a very small looking upper palate which may be a high palate)

3) Very thin, spindly child , white mottled skin,

4) Strange looking face, huge bright eyes, thin face and a n upper jaw that looks as if it is not big enough for her teeth but apparently they are not crowded.

5) Faecal incontinence although she is trained re bladder but not until age 3

6) Normal intelligence
I hope I am wrong!!!

Can anyone say whether I remember right that Marfan's is associated with syphilinum?

Syphillinum was certainly the first remedy I thought of when I saw her facial features!!

I actually gave her Sulphur which just happens to be the remedy I gave her elder sister many years ago

Are you leaning toward giving it to her, or if not, I'm curious why?

Sulphur is the indicated remedy for the bowel symptoms she has + constitutionally which is what mum brought her to me for . I do intend to give her Syphillum eventually.
