Please see the information below on your constituent Anna Robb. Food Standards has full knowledge of the aspartame issue. I've gone back and forth with them for years. I've asked them to remove propaganda from their web site. You might as well be working with robots. Facts are meaningless to them.
Aspartame was approved in England through a business deal and without the consent of Parliament as you will read below. See the modus operandi of Food standards and the FDA for that matter. I hope you can help Anna. Food Standards won't. You might as well be working with the manufacturer of aspartame. Food Standards know the facts because we told them and gave them the evidence. They stick with the protection of the manufacturer.
This poison destroyed the life of Anna Robb.
If I can help in any way please let me know. I also spoke with the EU in Brussels when I was lecturing there in Europe. I showed them a 1000 page medical text (Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, 1000 pages by H. J. Roberts, M.D.) and they wouldn't even turn the first page because they could care less. Consider this is a product that causes grotesque birth defects and the FDA made a deal with the manufacturer to never allow the public to see the studies. Took me 8 years to find them and know aspartame causes neural tube defects, spina bifida and even cleft palate, etc. and there is not even a pregnancy warning. Now we have autism throughout the world. Just for starters aspartame has been proven to trigger or precipitate diabetes, obesity, blindness, MS, lupus, sudden cardiac death, myocardial infarctions (heart attacks), seizures and damage the mitochondria interacting with drugs and vaccines. Almost 100 per cent of "independent" scientific peer reviewed studies, not compromised by the control of the manufacturer show the problems caused by aspartame or E951.
In the beginning the FDA tried to have the manufacturer indicted for fraud - they could not get aspartame to show safety and they never will. It was approved in the US through the political chicanery of Don Rumsfeld and a racketeering suit was filed against him on the issue some years ago.
Tell Food Standards to answer my letter. I even filed against EFSA on the basis of conflict of interest which is a matter of record. They just disregard all the studies that prove how deadly aspartame is. There is no one to protect the people of Europe just as there is none to protect those here in the US. That's why we're here, to get the real facts to the public. Dr. Adrian Gross, FDA toxicologist, told Congress
in l985 that aspartame violated the Delaney Amendment because it caused cancer and, therefore, no allowable daily intake should be able to be made. His last words are immortal and should never be forgotten, "And if the FDA violates its own laws who is left to protect the public?" Information given out by regulatory agencies like Food Standards is simply industry propaganda.

" I asked Dr. Bowen what happened when the FDA received his information and he said they sent someone to his office to complain about his letter so he gave them 29 more cases.
It's all a matter of public record and for years I've heard from informants who saw what was going on and answered some of my questions. For instance, at the end of this note you'll see an affidavit from the lady who sent the original studies to France , Jana Marie, who shredded the studies. Notice she said aspartame killed everything it touched. No way to prove a poison safe.

Want to come to America and be an FDA Commissioner? I'm quoting directly from a lawsuit report titled "Former FDA Commissioner Charged in Rico Lawsuit". "A Federal Lawsuit charges Dr. Margaret Hamburg, former Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) with conspiracy, racketeering & colluding to conceal deadly drug dangers - under the federal Racketeer influenced and Corrupt Organizations law (RICO law. The best part: So, it says Defendant Hamburg was a political appointee of President Barack Obama. On information and belief, Defendant Hamburg was recommended to and promoted to President Obama to fill the role of FDA Commissioner by Hillary Clinton, to whom Defendant Hamburg and Defendant Brown had provided, and continue to provide, significant political contributions and other gratuities. ($2 million contribution to Hillary Clinton election campaign, according to Open.Secrets.org."
Supposedly this particular drug supposedly killed more than 5,000. When I was in Barcelona Dr. M. Alemany told me aspartame would kill 200 million and I personally believe it already has. I wrote Dr. Hamburg in March, 2011. I ended with: "Now answer my FOIA. It's been months and the imminent health hazard amendment from 2007 which is suppose to be answered in a week or ten days. It's about time you stopped serving above the law. We shouldn't have to do your work for you and alert the public."
Dr. Hamburg never answered my letters. Stephen Fox, Mission Possible New Mexico tried to get her to answer him and ban aspartame and she simply ignored the letters.
There was the old FDA that tried to have G. D. Searle indicted for fraud and revoked the petition for aspartame approval. On my web site, www.mpwhi.com you can read it. Now we have the new FDA after Don Rumsfeld was hired by Searle to get aspartame on the market. If you understand our FDA you can identify Food Standards who also lies and denies.
Hero's who worked diligently to protect the Public:
There are many hero's who tried every honest way to stop this poison from being marketed or who tried by independent scientific peer reviewed research to show its a poison.

Dr. Alemany skillfully used radioactive tracing of the methanol component and thus clearly and unequivocally demonstrated methanol's evolution into the formation of formaldehyde modified proteins and DNA. How strange it seems now that anyone would ever doubt that formaldehyde is produced from methanol or be convinced to think otherwise! For his exquisite work, Dr. Alemany had his university funding revoked and, like so many other scientists that dared go against the corruption that abounds in the western bureaucracies, was made to endure indignities designed to discourage dissension."
Dr. Monte himself is a hero. Read about him in the UPI Investigation by Gregory Gordon. In Arizona it can easily get up to 120 degrees so if you have Diet Cokes in front of a 7-11 you have formaldehyde cocktails. He wanted labeling or it banned. One meeting was rejected and when he finally gets a hearing they took some study on toxic waste that had already been passed and replaced the guts with aspartame being deregulated. http://www.mpwhi.com/upi_1987_aspartame_report.pdf It squashed the hearing. Monte was so concerned about the unresolved safety issues that he filed suit with the FDA requesting a hearing to address these issues. He asked the FDA to:
"...[S]low down on this soft drink issue long enough to answer some of the important questions. It's not fair that you are leaving the full burden of proof on the few of us who are concerned and have such limited resources. You must remember that you are the American public's last defense. Once you allow usage (of aspartame) there is literally nothing I or my colleagues can do to reverse the course. Aspartame will then join saccharin, the surfeiting agents, and God knows how many other questionable compounds enjoined to insult the human constitution with governmental approval."
The last chapter of Dr. Monte's book on aspartame and autism is on line free but you need the book. It makes your case. www.whilesciencesleeps.com Please notice they even blew up his house with him in it. Dr. Monte took it all the way to the supreme court. Why since the case had been made would a judge prevent it from being recalled? I know someone on our list who was at the FDA meeting when they admitted they were taking it off the shelves. If you now understand how the FDA works you can understand the line of corruption whenever they want to deceive.
Are you aware that the FDA and even Coke and Pepsi knew about it breaking down and protested. Food Standards like the FDA has a copy of the protest. They just lie and deny. Rather than go into the biochemistry of it all, although I will privately if you like, here's your proof. I'll send a copy of this to Food Standards and your MP. With full knowledge of aspartame being poison and breaking down the NSDA turned right around and lobbied for NutraSweet. I did discuss your information with Dr. Alemany who did the incredible Trocho Study.
Also in 2005 the Cancer Research Center of the European Foundation of Oncology and Environmental Sciences in Bologna, Italy reported that a long-term study to evaluate the potential carcinogenic effects of aspartame demonstrates the chemical sweetener "induces an increase in lymphomas and leukemias in female rats." The research was presented at an international scientific conference, "Framing the Future in the Light of the Past: Living in a Chemical World."
Neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock M.D. commented: "The new study released in the European Journal of oncology by Morando Soffritti and co-workers should terrify mothers and all those consuming aspartame sweetened products. This was a carefully done study which clearly demonstrated a statistically significant increase in several types of lymphomas and leukemias in rats. Both of these malignancies have increased significantly in this country since the widespread use of aspartame.
"This study confirmed the previous study by Dr. Trocho and co-workers, which also found the formaldehyde breakdown product of aspartame to be damaging to cellular DNA and that this damage was accumulative. The type of damage was a duplicate of that associated with cancers. Along with this most recent study, this means that drinking a single diet cola sweetened with aspartame every day could increase one's risk of developing a lymphoma or leukemia.
"They also found an increased incidence of malignant brain tumors, even though it was not statistically significant. This does not mean there is no association to brain tumors, since only the animals exposed to aspartame developed the tumors. With children and pregnant women drinking the largest amount of diet colas, this puts their children at the greatest risk of developing one of these horrible diseases. Their study found that even low doses of aspartame could cause these malignancies; yet, the higher the dose, the more cancers that were seen.
"Since aspartame can increase obesity and may even cause the metabolic syndrome that affects 48 million Americans, there is no reason to ever consume this product. At the least it should be immediately banned from all schools." So you can see study after study has proven how deadly this chemical poison is. Food Standards has just ignored these studies like FDA.
The modus operandi of FDA and FSA are identical. This is the way it goes. The victim writes his congressman or senator about the problem just as you did. The MP sent it to FSA. The FSA then writes industry's propaganda and sends it back to the congressman who sends you the forwarded rubbish. Food Standards knows better. While I'm on a roll here let me put to rest the other rubbish from Food Standards.
Aspartame was not approved and re-evaluated by careful scientific reviewed studies. G. D. Searle knew if England found out the FDA wanted them indicted for fraud they could never get it approved there so they got it on the market through a business deal - more deceit. So Food Standards was then set up later in an effort to keep them away from industry. It began seeping like sewage in the food supply and even in drugs. James Turner is the DC Attorney who worked with the famed Dr. John Olney who founded the field of neuroscience called excitotoxicitry, to prevent its approval. James Turner is another hero and you will see a clip from a documentary where he explains. Dr. Russell Blaylock, neurosurgeon, another hero who has written "Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills" has written so many of our reports, even for pilots and athletes. Yes, aspartame has been the cause of plane crashes. Since his first book he has written more and recently "Dr. Blaylock's Prescriptions for Natural Health".
As to break down we have the confession of the original manufacturer, G. D. Yet in 1996 Dr. David Kessler who was the Fatal Drugs Allowed (FDA) Commissioner said he would allow it to be used in everything if the complaints came down. They must sit up at night and figure out how to continue to conceive the public. I knew they could tell the public they weren't taking anymore complaints but that wouldn't make the others go away. Then one morning Dr. Roberts called and said he was just outraged by what the FDA had done. They wrote in a letter that they had changed their bookkeeping system which required them to throw away hundreds of aspartame complaints. I met Dr. Roberts when I was looking for an expert to help me with a friend who had been diagnosed with Parkinson. A doctor visiting us asked us to see if he was using NutraSweet. His arms and legs would swing out and we thought he was dying. With a medical background I knew you didn't get Parkinson one day and die the next. Dr. Roberts told me he was probably drinking a Diet Coke with his L-Dopa. Indeed, he was and a few days later off the poison he was fine. I read Dr. Roberts first book and realized aspartame could mimic or precipitate MS, lupus, trigger seizures, produce birth defects and was an endocrine disrupting agent so could cause infertility, and more. This had to be a chemical poison masquerading as an additive but could it be true that it was causing disability and death. It didn't take long to find out.
I remember Alicia Morris, a friend, was about to drink some punch I knew had aspartame in it. I told her not to drink it because it destroys the central nervous system. She said she had been diagnosed with MS by two physicians, was losing her vision and thought she had a brain tumor, drinking 3 Diet Coke's a day. We got her off of it and all symptoms disappeared. She was later in "First for Women". She was told she couldn't have children after being married 3 years not realizing aspartame is an endocrine disrupting agent, stimulates prolactin, changing the menses and causing infertility. By the time she was in "First For Women" she was pictured with her new baby boy.
Then Gloria Collins told me she thought she was dying, losing her vision and probably had MS. I asked her how much Equal she put in her coffee and she said 12 packets a day. I told her that would do it. It wasn't long off aspartame did all her symptoms disappear and her vision returned. She began to tell everybody she met. Gloria always called about 6:00 AM to tell me how many she had saved.
Case after case, off aspartame people would wake up well. I began to see through Dr. Robert eyes. Finding out aspartame caused birth defects was hard as you saw mother's feeding even toddlers with this deadly neuroexcitotoxin. I was becoming obsessed knowing what it was doing to their brains and even at Disney World where I was giving out flyers I would take Diet Coke out of the hands of toddlers and give the mother a lecture. I could not understand how any decent human being could be part of the deception to sell a deadly poison to the public knowing it was mass poisoning. I was just shocked when with Felicity Mawson in England she showed me a product being sold to toddlers called Bubblee, a small blue bottle, with no food just aspartame, citric acid, saccharin and other harmful chemicals. I told Food Standards that in their regulations toddlers under 3 were not suppose to be able to get artificial sweeteners. She didn't care and did nothing about it, but did admit that it was against regulations.
From Roberts Angels to Mission Possible World Health Intl we have worked to expose those who with full knowledge have cared less how many this poison kills or disables. People thought it impossible to get it all over the world. It was Eva Jones, a wonderful friend and volunteer who named us Mission POSSIBLE. I remember the day I called Dr. Roberts and said, "Are we talking about a global plague?" He replied it is a world epidemic. There was nothing for people to find but a few books unless you wanted to research FDA, CDC and congressional hearings. The average person wouldn't know to go that far. When I got on the Internet there was only Mark Gold, Aspartame Toxicity Center, www.holisticmed.com/aspartame You should check out this web site because its Mark who has with great talent and knowledge answered the rubbish from the aspartame's industry. Especially notice how they abuse aspartame research.
I started from scratch on the Internet in the diabetic newsgroup. That's where you find the trade organizations, Nutrasweet industry, etc. You would try to get the truth to them since aspartame can precipitate diabetes, simulates and aggravates diabetic neuropathy and retinopathy, destroys the optic nerve, causes diabetics to go into convulsions and interacts with insulin. The free methyl alcohol causes diabetics to lose their limbs. Dr. Roberts was a member of the American Diabetes Assn and was infuriated with them because with full knowledge they would take money from the industry and push it on the ones it can harm the most. So here is the modus operandi of how newsgroups work. You explain to those suffering and the front groups and such claim its not true. Then the NutraSweet Company would write private notes to the victims telling them not to believe it. The victim would then send me their private response and I would answer it and make it public in the newsgroup. Then came the pundits. The Internet gives this definition: " Beware the pundit, a supposed expert who imparts deep knowledge to us more ignorant folks. Pundits are often blowhards, mere hacks, ..." They would curse and use terrible language and when they ran out of words they would make up some. Mark would come behind me with references and once said, "could you try another newsgroup?" The diabetes newsgroup is extremely hostile because of the flacks.
Finally as diabetics got off aspartame and got better they then had to convince their doctors who had no knowledge. So Dr. Roberts wrote position papers for aspartame and diabetes, aspartame and pregnancy, aspartame and MS, etc. Then the victim had proof on an MD's stationery, one who had been selected as the Best Doctor in the US in the l980's.
One day Mark told me to get on a neurologist's group since aspartame triggers and precipitates so many neurological symptoms and diseases. I found they were even harder to convince than the victims. Dr. Roberts wrote the position paper on how aspartame can mimic MS. Neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock, M.D. wrote a letter on it. They wouldn't even believe other brilliant physicians.
I finally wrote and explained I had just lectured for the World Environmental Conference, and that Dr. Clarice Gaylord of the EPA had mentioned they had an epidemic of MS and lupus and couldn't identify the toxin. I stood up and said "I'm here to lecture on MS and lupus and identify the toxin as NutraSweet". The lecture room was full after that remark and as I read out the list of 92 symptoms from the FDA people were saying, "I've got it, I've got it.". That's when things changed around the world. Somebody by the name of Nancy Markle disorganized the paper I had put on www.dorway.com and added her name. It went viral and as people read it and saw all the symptoms and diseases they got off of it. Eventually they realized I was the writer. www.dorway.com/nomarkle.html DORway stands for David Oliver Rietz who I worked with for years until he lost his life from this dreadful chemical poison. His last words to me were "this lady has lupus, please help her". His daughter, Tanya Crosby, maintains the site to this day in his memory.
I hope your article goes viral as well. Monsanto with all its front groups, the trade organizations and pundits couldn't put out the fire and sold the NutraSweet Company. As people got well around the world they set up their own operations of Mission Possible from the jungles of Africa to Sweden and Peru. Calls came in every couple of minutes for at least two years. The computer once crashed when 12,000 cases came in at one time. To this day I still get calls about the World Environmental Conference. By this time in order to validate everything I lectured on you needed a medical text which I asked Dr. Roberts to write and he did and dedicated it to me., That's the 1000 page medical text, "Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic".
So today we're equipped with medical books and all the facts and documents to show aspartame is a literal poison. Also, from the UK, Pat Thomas, did a 17 page expose in the Ecologist which you are probably familiar with. Even organizations like the National Health Federation warn the public. The very best in media, those not afraid of the aspartame industry, and with integrity alert the public so they won't be poisoned such as Jeff Rense, Coast to Coast, Genesis and Republic networks, and on and on.
Even Atlanta Magazine did the story getting thousands off the toxin. Here in Atlanta, the home of Coca Cola if you're drinking Diet Coke you'll be warned by a lot of people. Doug Monroe, author wrote, "I drank three or four Diet Cokes a day for a quarter-century... A few years ago, I was drinking one and a guy walked up. "That's poison" he said. "What's a poison? I said. "Diet Coke. It has aspartame in it. It's poison." Today we're everywhere, all over the globe.
Doug Monroe went on to say, "I figured he was a nut. Reporters sometimes make snap judgments, especially about people who seem obsessed about something. Obsessed people bugged me for a long time. Now, I often find that at the heart of their obsession is a shiny nugget of truth. So when the guy sent me emails, I read them, which is how I came across Betty Martini."

One of the most heinous crimes of our FDA is the fact they made a deal with G. D. Searle years ago never to allow the public to see the teratology studies (birth defects). Lane Shore, Mission Possible Chicago, and outstanding researcher who has lost about 20 members of his family, was able to find Jerome Bressler after he retired from the FDA. He was one of the last honest men of the old FDA. I called to thank him for the famous Bressler Report which described the shenanigans G. D. They showed aspartame caused birth defects and horrible neural tube defects, helping you to realize why autism has spread throughout the world. Absolute, emphatic genocide!
So pregnant women are using this deadly product without knowledge, and no warning. So in the FDA's loyalty to the manufacturer they didn't care what happened to the babies. The "confidentiality" is FDA coverup.

I spoke to you earlier today inference to my sons birth defect. He was born in 1991 and passed away in 2001.
Prior to his conception, I was dieting and using aspartame religiously and throughout all trimesters of my pregnacy. My son was born with a neural tube defect. There was no awareness of this until his birth.
Throughout his short life, he suffered from numerous medical complications, surgeries, doctors appointments and countless hospital admissions. He had intractable seizures and was prescribed numerous medications in an attempt to decrease the number of seizures. For the first few years of his life, aspartame was also a regular part of his diet as I was not aware of the dangers at this time. It was not until I was able to associate aspartame with my headaches that I ceased using it and giving it to my son. Through my own research, I realized how dangers this product is and became an advocate of warning people against using it.
The pain that was caused by this poison continues to be almost unbearable as I realize how the quality of my sons life and my life was taken away. The heartache and grief continues to linger. "If only I knew". This was my only child and I loved him very much! But after watching him suffer almost daily, I decided not to have any more children afraid they may suffer the same fate. In a sense, Aspartame altered my life and what could have been my family.

I know you believe those who have caused this should be prosecuted. You are right about so many of them having passed on . As a religious person I know in the end the wicked have lost the greatest prize. Scripture tells us there is a resurrection of the righteous and the non-righteous. We still have great problems because other aspartame products have been approved and we have to get them all banned. Also, there is sucralose /Splenda which is carcinogenic and is like consuming bleach and acesulfame potassium which caused cancer and leukemia in original studies. So I asked Mike Sylver who had been growing herbs in the Amazon Rain Forest what could be done about the problem because when people get off aspartame they ask what can they use with safety. While I don't have any personal financial association he has made one for us called "Just Like Sugar" for us and also received an award from William Shatner for the first safe sweetener in America. Most any document you need we have and Dr. Roberts left me his 30 years of research. Dr. Ralph Walton did the research for 60 Minutes showing 92% of independent, scientific peer reviewed research show the problems aspartame triggers or precipitates. He said if you eliminate 6 studies the Fatal Drugs Allowed folks have something to do with because of their loyalty to industry and one pro-industry summary, 100 % of independent research shows the problems. Only industry controlling the research or paying for such has ever shown it to be safe. They have been exposed over and over again. Dr. Walton is a psychiatrist so he did a study on aspartame. Knowing some people normally have psychiatric problems, and also knowing that aspartame triggers these he wanted to see what would happen if those who were already depressed used aspartame, so there were two groups. The administrator took part and lost his vision in one eye from a retinal detachment. Another lady had conjunctival bleeding. He was not even using the maximum daily allowable dose. Those in the compromised groups said they felt like they were being poisoned. The study was stopped.
So you can see if honest people are doing a study it will always show what aspartame causes. G. D. Searle tried all kinds of ways to prove safety and did not succeed. That's why the FDA tried to have them indicted for fraud. Both U.S Prosecutors hired on with the defense team and the statute of limitations expired. Then they revoked the petition for approval which is when Rumsfeld stepped in and as he said, "called in his markers".

I will start by answering two questions
1. The FSA has not done proper in-vivo tests on aspartame and doesnt know how it breaks-down, I have a letter from them stating this.
2. The 2013 review on aspartame was heavily criticised by Professor Eric Millstone for ignoring every single study indicating dangers.
Aspartame requires activated pepsin in order to metabolise and therefore breakdown can switched on and off regarding folate levels, significant caffeine ingestion and many other factors. As a result it is in many breaking down in levels that are carcinogenic.
Regarding the FSA all communication from me has since been ignored. The British MHRA Pharmaco Vigilance Service refuse to look into the fact that the side effects of SSRIs match that of aspartame and they too ignore this. Serotonin is how I purged aspartame as you will see from my article. LAMDA PVS are now looking into this as they actually do show concern for the safety of the public.
I cannot personally use the word aspartame in the subject header of my emails as this causes Microsoft do demand I prove my identity before I can access my account. Someone very kindly reported me as a "dangerous spammer" to try and slow me down. That was the result of sending 4 individual emails. Two of which I had spoken to on the phone and were expecting that particular email from me.
I have seen that you have had dealings with a John E. Garst, Ph.D. A man ranting about a condition MTHFR causing problems with aspartame- wrong! What he declined to mention is that unmanaged MTHFR (bio-active folate deficiency) causes the liver to secrete a substance that renders the enzyme pepsin in-active. As a result aspartame accumulates un-metabolized in the body. You were right, he was trying to help them.
I am trying to spread my article and encourage people to contact their FSA/FDA and politicians and demand what they are doing about this as they are ignoring me, which is not their normal protocol.

I am an executive secretary w/ high skills and made top dollar. This job paid top dollar. I was asked to take piles of paper and COPY, THEN SHRED them. I was told very sternly NOT to read the material and that if I did I would be fired. Well, I grew up in the military in the 60's w/ secrets all around and I'm very curious. I am afterall a paralegal. So, I read while copied and read while shredded.
Here's what was going on. The copies were being sent to France, then I was shredding them, too and the originals were being shredded. They were about the new product not yet on the market, EQUAL. They were the lab results from the tested rats and other animals. The results were outrageous. This stuff killed everything it touched.
I overheard a conversation on the second day by the "boss" and the girls who was telling me what to do. She told him what I was doing and that I was also doing the faxing to France. He was livid and started screaming at her, "What if she reads some of this stuff?" she told him I was too stupid to know what I was reading, even if I did.
What she didn't know was that I was a doctor's daughter, that I had 3 years of college and I was extremely intellegent. Nor did she know that all during my father's college years when he was in charge of the animal lab at his college, he would take me to help give the rats their injections. I knew what I was reading.
We know that you know some of this information, but did you know the originals are in France? I should have told someone then, but WHO? I just never touched the stuff when it came out and tell everyone I know it is dangerous stuff. I didn't know it was the Aspartamene in it that was the problem until recently. A friend of mine sent me to this web site so that I could finally tell what I know.
I hope you find that the Reagan Administration (which I believe is the case) did this intentionally. though I'm a republican, that has nothing to do with what happened here.
If they can take Neuronton or other drugs off the market because of their effect on people, they can take this off the market. The cover-up is horrific.

I showed them a 1000 page medical text (Aspartame Disease: An Ignored Epidemic, 1000 pages by H. J. Roberts, M.D.) and they wouldn't even turn the first page because they could care less. Consider this is a product that causes grotesque birth defects and the FDA made a deal with the manufacturer to never allow the public to see the studies. Took me 8 years to find them and know aspartame causes neural tube defects, spina bifida and even cleft palate, etc. and there is not even a pregnancy warning. Now we have autism throughout the world. Just for starters aspartame has been proven to trigger or precipitate diabetes, obesity, blindness, MS, lupus, sudden cardiac death, myocardial infarctions (heart attacks), seizures and damage the mitochondria interacting with drugs and vaccines. Almost 100 per cent of "independent" scientific peer reviewed studies, not compromised by the control of the manufacturer show the problems caused by aspartame or E951.
In the beginning the FDA tried to have the manufacturer indicted for fraud - they could not get aspartame to show safety and they never will. It was approved in the US through the political chicanery of Don Rumsfeld and a racketeering suit was filed against him on the issue some years ago.
Tell Food Standards to answer my letter. I even filed against EFSA on the basis of conflict of interest which is a matter of record. They just disregard all the studies that prove how deadly aspartame is. There is no one to protect the people of Europe just as there is none to protect those here in the US. That's why we're here, to get the real facts to the public. Dr. Adrian Gross, FDA toxicologist, told Congress
in l985 that aspartame violated the Delaney Amendment because it caused cancer and, therefore, no allowable daily intake should be able to be made. His last words are immortal and should never be forgotten, "And if the FDA violates its own laws who is left to protect the public?" Information given out by regulatory agencies like Food Standards is simply industry propaganda.

It's all a matter of public record and for years I've heard from informants who saw what was going on and answered some of my questions. "A Federal Lawsuit charges Dr. Margaret Hamburg, former Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) with conspiracy, racketeering & colluding to conceal deadly drug dangers - under the federal Racketeer influenced and Corrupt Organizations law (RICO law. The best part: So, it says Defendant Hamburg was a political appointee of President Barack Obama. On information and belief, Defendant Hamburg was recommended to and promoted to President Obama to fill the role of FDA Commissioner by Hillary Clinton, to whom Defendant Hamburg and Defendant Brown had provided, and continue to provide, significant political contributions and other gratuities. ($2 million contribution to Hillary Clinton election campaign, according to Open.Secrets.org."
Supposedly this particular drug supposedly killed more than 5,000. When I was in Barcelona Dr. M. Alemany told me aspartame would kill 200 million and I personally believe it already has. I wrote Dr. Hamburg in March, 2011. I ended with: "Now answer my FOIA. It's been months and the imminent health hazard amendment from 2007 which is suppose to be answered in a week or ten days. It's about time you stopped serving above the law. We shouldn't have to do your work for you and alert the public."
Dr. Hamburg never answered my letters. Stephen Fox, Mission Possible New Mexico tried to get her to answer him and ban aspartame and she simply ignored the letters.
There was the old FDA that tried to have G. D. Searle indicted for fraud and revoked the petition for aspartame approval. On my web site, www.mpwhi.com you can read it. Now we have the new FDA after Don Rumsfeld was hired by Searle to get aspartame on the market. If you understand our FDA you can identify Food Standards who also lies and denies.
Hero's who worked diligently to protect the Public:

Dr. Monte himself is a hero. Read about him in the UPI Investigation by Gregory Gordon. In Arizona it can easily get up to 120 degrees so if you have Diet Cokes in front of a 7-11 you have formaldehyde cocktails. He wanted labeling or it banned. Monte was so concerned about the unresolved safety issues that he filed suit with the FDA requesting a hearing to address these issues. He asked the FDA to:

It's not fair that you are leaving the full burden of proof on the few of us who are concerned and have such limited resources. You must remember that you are the American public's last defense. Once you allow usage (of aspartame) there is literally nothing I or my colleagues can do to reverse the course. Also in 2005 the Cancer Research Center of the European Foundation of Oncology and Environmental Sciences in Bologna, Italy reported that a long-term study to evaluate the potential carcinogenic effects of aspartame demonstrates the chemical sweetener "induces an increase in lymphomas and leukemias in female rats." The research was presented at an international scientific conference, "Framing the Future in the Light of the Past: Living in a Chemical World."
Neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock M.D. commented: "The new study released in the European Journal of oncology by Morando Soffritti and co-workers should terrify mothers and all those consuming aspartame sweetened products. This was a carefully done study which clearly demonstrated a statistically significant increase in several types of lymphomas and leukemias in rats. Both of these malignancies have increased significantly in this country since the widespread use of aspartame.
"This study confirmed the previous study by Dr. Trocho and co-workers, which also found the formaldehyde breakdown product of aspartame to be damaging to cellular DNA and that this damage was accumulative. The type of damage was a duplicate of that associated with cancers. Along with this most recent study, this means that drinking a single diet cola sweetened with aspartame every day could increase one's risk of developing a lymphoma or leukemia.
"They also found an increased incidence of malignant brain tumors, even though it was not statistically significant. This does not mean there is no association to brain tumors, since only the animals exposed to aspartame developed the tumors. With children and pregnant women drinking the largest amount of diet colas, this puts their children at the greatest risk of developing one of these horrible diseases. Their study found that even low doses of aspartame could cause these malignancies; yet, the higher the dose, the more cancers that were seen.
"Since aspartame can increase obesity and may even cause the metabolic syndrome that affects 48 million Americans, there is no reason to ever consume this product. At the least it should be immediately banned from all schools." So you can see study after study has proven how deadly this chemical poison is. Food Standards has just ignored these studies like FDA.
The modus operandi of FDA and FSA are identical. This is the way it goes. The victim writes his congressman or senator about the problem just as you did. The MP sent it to FSA. The FSA then writes industry's propaganda and sends it back to the congressman who sends you the forwarded rubbish. Food Standards knows better. Aspartame was not approved and re-evaluated by careful scientific reviewed studies. G. D. I met Dr. Roberts when I was looking for an expert to help me with a friend who had been diagnosed with Parkinson. A doctor visiting us asked us to see if he was using NutraSweet. His arms and legs would swing out and we thought he was dying. With a medical background I knew you didn't get Parkinson one day and die the next. Dr. Roberts told me he was probably drinking a Diet Coke with his L-Dopa. Indeed, he was and a few days later off the poison he was fine. I read Dr. Roberts first book and realized aspartame could mimic or precipitate MS, lupus, trigger seizures, produce birth defects and was an endocrine disrupting agent so could cause infertility, and more. I remember Alicia Morris, a friend, was about to drink some punch I knew had aspartame in it. I told her not to drink it because it destroys the central nervous system. She said she had been diagnosed with MS by two physicians, was losing her vision and thought she had a brain tumor, drinking 3 Diet Coke's a day. We got her off of it and all symptoms disappeared. She was later in "First for Women". She was told she couldn't have children after being married 3 years not realizing aspartame is an endocrine disrupting agent, stimulates prolactin, changing the menses and causing infertility. By the time she was in "First For Women" she was pictured with her new baby boy.
Then Gloria Collins told me she thought she was dying, losing her vision and probably had MS. I asked her how much Equal she put in her coffee and she said 12 packets a day. I told her that would do it. It wasn't long off aspartame did all her symptoms disappear and her vision returned. She began to tell everybody she met. Gloria always called about 6:00 AM to tell me how many she had saved.
Case after case, off aspartame people would wake up well. I began to see through Dr. Robert eyes. Finding out aspartame caused birth defects was hard as you saw mother's feeding even toddlers with this deadly neuroexcitotoxin. I was becoming obsessed knowing what it was doing to their brains and even at Disney World where I was giving out flyers I would take Diet Coke out of the hands of toddlers and give the mother a lecture. She didn't care and did nothing about it, but did admit that it was against regulations.

I started from scratch on the Internet in the diabetic newsgroup. That's where you find the trade organizations, Nutrasweet industry, etc. You would try to get the truth to them since aspartame can precipitate diabetes, simulates and aggravates diabetic neuropathy and retinopathy, destroys the optic nerve, causes diabetics to go into convulsions and interacts with insulin. The free methyl alcohol causes diabetics to lose their limbs. Dr. Roberts was a member of the American Diabetes Assn and was infuriated with them because with full knowledge they would take money from the industry and push it on the ones it can harm the most. So here is the modus operandi of how newsgroups work. You explain to those suffering and the front groups and such claim its not true. Then the NutraSweet Company would write private notes to the victims telling them not to believe it. The victim would then send me their private response and I would answer it and make it public in the newsgroup. Then came the pundits. The Internet gives this definition: " Beware the pundit, a supposed expert who imparts deep knowledge to us more ignorant folks. Pundits are often blowhards, mere hacks, ..." They would curse and use terrible language and when they ran out of words they would make up some. Mark would come behind me with references and once said, "could you try another newsgroup?" The diabetes newsgroup is extremely hostile because of the flacks.
Finally as diabetics got off aspartame and got better they then had to convince their doctors who had no knowledge. So Dr. Roberts wrote position papers for aspartame and diabetes, aspartame and pregnancy, aspartame and MS, etc. Then the victim had proof on an MD's stationery, one who had been selected as the Best Doctor in the US in the l980's.
One day Mark told me to get on a neurologist's group since aspartame triggers and precipitates so many neurological symptoms and diseases. I found they were even harder to convince than the victims. Dr. Roberts wrote the position paper on how aspartame can mimic MS. Neurosurgeon Russell Blaylock, M.D. wrote a letter on it. They wouldn't even believe other brilliant physicians.
I finally wrote and explained I had just lectured for the World Environmental Conference, and that Dr. Clarice Gaylord of the EPA had mentioned they had an epidemic of MS and lupus and couldn't identify the toxin. I hope your article goes viral as well. Monsanto with all its front groups, the trade organizations and pundits couldn't put out the fire and sold the NutraSweet Company. As people got well around the world they set up their own operations of Mission Possible from the jungles of Africa to Sweden and Peru. Calls came in every couple of minutes for at least two years. The computer once crashed when 12,000 cases came in at one time. To this day I still get calls about the World Environmental Conference. Even Atlanta Magazine did the story getting thousands off the toxin. Here in Atlanta, the home of Coca Cola if you're drinking Diet Coke you'll be warned by a lot of people. Doug Monroe, author wrote, "I drank three or four Diet Cokes a day for a quarter-century... A few years ago, I was drinking one and a guy walked up. "That's poison" he said. "What's a poison? I said. "Diet Coke. It has aspartame in it. It's poison." Today we're everywhere, all over the globe.
Doug Monroe went on to say, "I figured he was a nut. Reporters sometimes make snap judgments, especially about people who seem obsessed about something. Obsessed people bugged me for a long time. One of the most heinous crimes of our FDA is the fact they made a deal with G. D. Searle years ago never to allow the public to see the teratology studies (birth defects). So pregnant women are using this deadly product without knowledge, and no warning. So in the FDA's loyalty to the manufacturer they didn't care what happened to the babies. The "confidentiality" is FDA coverup.

I spoke to you earlier today inference to my sons birth defect. He was born in 1991 and passed away in 2001.
Prior to his conception, I was dieting and using aspartame religiously and throughout all trimesters of my pregnacy. My son was born with a neural tube defect. There was no awareness of this until his birth.
Throughout his short life, he suffered from numerous medical complications, surgeries, doctors appointments and countless hospital admissions. He had intractable seizures and was prescribed numerous medications in an attempt to decrease the number of seizures. For the first few years of his life, aspartame was also a regular part of his diet as I was not aware of the dangers at this time. It was not until I was able to associate aspartame with my headaches that I ceased using it and giving it to my son. Through my own research, I realized how dangers this product is and became an advocate of warning people against using it.
The pain that was caused by this poison continues to be almost unbearable as I realize how the quality of my sons life and my life was taken away. The heartache and grief continues to linger. "If only I knew". This was my only child and I loved him very much! But after watching him suffer almost daily, I decided not to have any more children afraid they may suffer the same fate. In a sense, Aspartame altered my life and what could have been my family.

I know you believe those who have caused this should be prosecuted. You are right about so many of them having passed on . As a religious person I know in the end the wicked have lost the greatest prize. Scripture tells us there is a resurrection of the righteous and the non-righteous. We still have great problems because other aspartame products have been approved and we have to get them all banned. Also, there is sucralose /Splenda which is carcinogenic and is like consuming bleach and acesulfame potassium which caused cancer and leukemia in original studies. So I asked Mike Sylver who had been growing herbs in the Amazon Rain Forest what could be done about the problem because when people get off aspartame they ask what can they use with safety. While I don't have any personal financial association he has made one for us called "Just Like Sugar" for us and also received an award from William Shatner for the first safe sweetener in America. Most any document you need we have and Dr. Roberts left me his 30 years of research. Dr. Ralph Walton did the research for 60 Minutes showing 92% of independent, scientific peer reviewed research show the problems aspartame triggers or precipitates. He said if you eliminate 6 studies the Fatal Drugs Allowed folks have something to do with because of their loyalty to industry and one pro-industry summary, 100 % of independent research shows the problems. Only industry controlling the research or paying for such has ever shown it to be safe. They have been exposed over and over again. Dr. Walton is a psychiatrist so he did a study on aspartame. Knowing some people normally have psychiatric problems, and also knowing that aspartame triggers these he wanted to see what would happen if those who were already depressed used aspartame, so there were two groups. The administrator took part and lost his vision in one eye from a retinal detachment. Another lady had conjunctival bleeding. He was not even using the maximum daily allowable dose. Those in the compromised groups said they felt like they were being poisoned. The study was stopped.
So you can see if honest people are doing a study it will always show what aspartame causes. G. D. Searle tried all kinds of ways to prove safety and did not succeed. That's why the FDA tried to have them indicted for fraud. Both U.S Prosecutors hired on with the defense team and the statute of limitations expired. Then they revoked the petition for approval which is when Rumsfeld stepped in and as he said, "called in his markers".

I will start by answering two questions
1. The FSA has not done proper in-vivo tests on aspartame and doesnt know how it breaks-down, I have a letter from them stating this.
2. The 2013 review on aspartame was heavily criticised by Professor Eric Millstone for ignoring every single study indicating dangers.
Aspartame requires activated pepsin in order to metabolise and therefore breakdown can switched on and off regarding folate levels, significant caffeine ingestion and many other factors. As a result it is in many breaking down in levels that are carcinogenic.
Regarding the FSA all communication from me has since been ignored. The British MHRA Pharmaco Vigilance Service refuse to look into the fact that the side effects of SSRIs match that of aspartame and they too ignore this. Serotonin is how I purged aspartame as you will see from my article. LAMDA PVS are now looking into this as they actually do show concern for the safety of the public.
I cannot personally use the word aspartame in the subject header of my emails as this causes Microsoft do demand I prove my identity before I can access my account. Someone very kindly reported me as a "dangerous spammer" to try and slow me down. That was the result of sending 4 individual emails. Two of which I had spoken to on the phone and were expecting that particular email from me.
I have seen that you have had dealings with a John E. Garst, Ph.D. A man ranting about a condition MTHFR causing problems with aspartame- wrong! What he declined to mention is that unmanaged MTHFR (bio-active folate deficiency) causes the liver to secrete a substance that renders the enzyme pepsin in-active. As a result aspartame accumulates un-metabolized in the body. You were right, he was trying to help them.
I am trying to spread my article and encourage people to contact their FSA/FDA and politicians and demand what they are doing about this as they are ignoring me, which is not their normal protocol.

I am an executive secretary w/ high skills and made top dollar. This job paid top dollar. I was asked to take piles of paper and COPY, THEN SHRED them. I was told very sternly NOT to read the material and that if I did I would be fired. Well, I grew up in the military in the 60's w/ secrets all around and I'm very curious. I am afterall a paralegal. So, I read while copied and read while shredded.
Here's what was going on. The copies were being sent to France, then I was shredding them, too and the originals were being shredded. They were about the new product not yet on the market, EQUAL. They were the lab results from the tested rats and other animals. The results were outrageous. This stuff killed everything it touched.
I overheard a conversation on the second day by the "boss" and the girls who was telling me what to do. She told him what I was doing and that I was also doing the faxing to France. He was livid and started screaming at her, "What if she reads some of this stuff?" she told him I was too stupid to know what I was reading, even if I did.
What she didn't know was that I was a doctor's daughter, that I had 3 years of college and I was extremely intellegent. Nor did she know that all during my father's college years when he was in charge of the animal lab at his college, he would take me to help give the rats their injections. I knew what I was reading.
We know that you know some of this information, but did you know the originals are in France? I should have told someone then, but WHO? I just never touched the stuff when it came out and tell everyone I know it is dangerous stuff. I didn't know it was the Aspartamene in it that was the problem until recently. A friend of mine sent me to this web site so that I could finally tell what I know.
I hope you find that the Reagan Administration (which I believe is the case) did this intentionally. though I'm a republican, that has nothing to do with what happened here.
If they can take Neuronton or other drugs off the market because of their effect on people, they can take this off the market. The cover-up is horrific.

How does the state of Oregon feel about this? I'm wondering about growing Stevia in Oregon and Pacific N.W. to lower the cost of it as a replacement.
