TB Vaccine Will Begin Tests By End of Year

Preliminary testing of a new tuberculosis vaccine in humans is expected to
begin by the end of this year. The planned safety trial would mark the first
time in about 80 years that a new vaccine has been tested against the
tuberculosis bacterium, which infects an estimated one-third of the world's
population.
