A is an 8 year old girl who does get along well with Mum...I cannot present the full case, but....she is detached from mum, appears frivolous, no emotions, says she does not like her or love (same with her brother), says she has no feelings, does not show any empathy, oppositional, manipulative, argumentative, it is never her fault, always blames others, it is never her fault, fastidious about trifles, loquacious....and much more.

I assume that at this point, if the remedies were to stop, she would relapse -- or not? I'm just curious! Seeing if I can think this through: So those doses would be "equivalent" (how equivalent?) to 5 x 8 x 13 = 520c? Which could in itself be very durable. I realize that you *don't* stop there tho, and it gets even better...

Someday I will be able to make my leap into resuming practice, and really start to learn it.

I have had M/E deeply affected on low potencies and physicals on high. I think the one

Another sometimes-useful generality that sometimes falls down, is the idea that low potencies, e.g. 6, do not "hold" as long as high potencies. Personally I definitely find this to be *generally* true, but sometimes a single dose of 6 will run for a loooooong time, or even be the only dose that's needed. Those instances don't seem to be random (i.e. there are guidelines), but in my experience not always obvious, either.

A sort of minor example that comes to my mind, long time back (while I was still practicing), a baby, delicate little thing, with a horrible respiratory illness, and she had become lethargic (and I don't remember much more detail). I wanted to give Belladonna, wasn't sure how "gentle" we needed to be, but in any case all they had on hand was a 12x. After that dose she suddenly brightened, began to heal, and nothing more was needed for the illness. It really surprised (and delighted) me!
All the more reason why I look forward to (when time and "life" permit) getting experienced with Fibonacci scale.

Strangely enough in a somewhat parallel siuation I just treated our Calico cat who was becoming somewhat detached from us with digestive problems. I came up with two remedies that I was debating the as to which one would fit the picture better. Then remembering Irene’s words that a cat will select the appropriate remedy I elected to let our Master Homeopath, Lucy (the calico) make the final decision.

She was lying on living room rug having a siesta, so I set both remedies in front of her. She stretched out her nose to sniffed at each one separately, then to my surprise said, "you gotta be kidding" . NO ; >)
What she did was to reach out with her paw and place it on Lycopodium. Treatment of Lyc 5, 8, 13, 21 and now a week+ later she is a positively changed family member in her personality and digestive issues.

Did you give the Lyc potencies 5, 8,13, 21 once each on successive days, or wait to see lack of progress before increasing the potency?

I gather you stopped at 21C when the symptoms were gone?
