David Lilley – The Archetype, the Psyche and the Cosmos

David’s insights into the deeper aspects of human subtle existence are beyond compare, as will have been experienced by anyone who has already attended one of his presentations (such as at the Society of Homeopaths’ Conference in September 2015). In this seminar he will bring together, in his own captivating way, and all from the homeopathic perspective:

The vital force, the chakra system, colour therapy, cosmology, planetary evolution and the Enneagram (nine interconnected personality types).

And then he will move on to:

The Perennial Philosophy, the doctrine of signatures, symbolism, homeopathic archetypes, and – his forte! – mythology.

In previous seminars David has illustrated these underlying principles with insights into the main ‘polychrests’. In this event he will lead us into an understanding of the more hidden aspects not of polychrests but of altogether less familiar remedies, sometimes taking us beyond what we can readily find in the repertory.

Specifically he will be considering the Lucifer or 'Beast' principle that lurks within the Shadow of the human psyche. This involves the consideration of a number of remedies, some small and lesser known, some big and well known, but the perspective used will be Freudian and Jungian. Central to this consideration is rabies, which embodies the 'beast' structure, and its related remedies, amongst which are the toxic Solanaceae, but also many others of interest, such as Lyssin, Camphor, Cantharis, Coccinella, Anantherum, Lac-lupinum, Lac-caninum and the colour Red.
Dr David Lilley was born in Leeds in 1940, the son of a homeopath. His family emigrated to South Africa in 1949.

He says that the decision to follow in his father’s footsteps came when he was seven years old and developed bacterial meningitis. He was dangerously ill and in a coma for a number of days. With the help of Belladonna, Apis and finally Lachesis his father saved his life and when he recovered he announced that he too wished to become a homeopath!

In recent years he has been in demand as a visiting lecturer in the UK (including at the Society of Homeopath’s Conference in September 2015) and elsewhere.

In his lectures he weaves together homeopathic art and science, analytical psychology, mythology, chakra and colour theory, natural science and spiritual philosophy to provide a rich tapestry of perennial wisdom and knowledge. He has been described as an “inspiring teacher with an incredible in-depth knowledge of the remedies, who also shares many practical tips on the management of acute illnesses”.
