Minutus

All streaks of blood etc. gone with one use of a neti pot and a sachet of the hypotonic salt !! I have had one in for ages and never plucked up the courage to use one but it was so simple and totally painless.

Sinuses feel clear and the odd time I need to blow my nose gives rise to perfectly clear discharge.

I have had a heavy cold – not ill with it but with a lot of blowing nose and feel that my sinuses , especially the right side is full of discharge. The discharge all through the cold has been clear, no hint of green or yellow. However in the last couple of days on blowing my nose there has been a brown streak within the clear discharge. This thin brown streak has been like a piece of elastic and could be pulled like a string (Kali bic?) After blowing my nose the right Eustachian tube in my ear feels blocked for a bit.
Last night I got at my rep and found

I wasn’t particularly impressed with any of the remedies when I looked them up but for some reason took 1 dose of Hydr Ac 6x that I found in my remedy stock.
This morning I blew my nose and got clear discharge and then hawked up (if tha t is the correct word) what was coming down the back of my throat and it was a gelatinous mass of brown . Blowing my nose since then shows some brown discharge as opposed to the usual 1 streak within the clear discharge.
OK – any ideas what is going on? Did that 1 dose of 6x Hydr. Ac cause a bleed in the sinus area? Any ideas what to take or what to do? If I hadn’t had a heavy cold for the past 10 days I would be more suspicious. I do have a Neti pot which is used for a nasal/sinus wash which comes with sachets to make up into the correct isotonic liquid but I have never used it. I am thinking that this is the time to find out how?
I would appreciate any thoughts as am flying again abroad in a couple of days . Husband of course wants me to see my doctor straight away which is not going to happen!!

I was thinking the hydr-ac had actually helped to clear things out towards resolving. The neti seems to have helped, good for you!
