I did nto see any combination remedy suggested by Irfan.
A combination remedy would be a mixture of remedies, not separate cell salts, plus one homeopathic remedy.
I too suggested Chamomilla, without listing its clear indications in teething - but suggested 200C.
Cell salts are separate and used per Schuessler as supplements, where indicated.
I have not used them in teething (as Irfan does) as Cham 200C has had effect always without that need for my cases.
But I woud like to defend the use of Cell salts in general.
Schuessler advocated 6X which is what I use, but lower potency as suggested here, has no reason not to also work.
Schuessler salts are a separate study to homeopathy, but can be used alongside or separately if indicated.
Some of my own uses include use in the common issues of kidney/urinary problems in cats, all based on the research of Schuessler, plus a few generations of expereince among homeopath forebears in my family:
(Always 6X - to use preventively or as treatment)
eg. Ferr Phos where there is incontinence of urine due to muscular weakness, such as in older cats.
eg. Mag Phos where there is spasmodic retention of urine with constant need to urinate.
eg. Nat Sulf where there is polyuria and also sand/gravel in the urine- eg for for prevention in older subjects where there is serious danger to life and health if blockage occurs, esp in male cats who have a tiny urethral diameter.
When used preventively, it is like using them as a tonic.
They can also be very effective to maintain general health.
The practice passed down for generations in the family, goes like this:
there are twelve cell salts at 6X potency.
A bottle of one of them is kept on the dining room table at all times, changing the cell salt kept there each week.
Members of the family take one tablet of the current cell salt every night.
My cousin inherited the homeopathic wisdom to do this and her family is never ill.
Cell salts have a great place in health care.
How many to take is a bit like asking how long the electric extension cord needs to be. It is not that critical.
More can be taken if a specific need is known, such as maybe one a day for prevention as above, or 3 times a day in acute, possibly 3 times a week in chronic issues - adapted to the individual's need for it in all cases.
Namaste,
Irene
