Another condition blamed at first on bacteria or virus...............but found to be a poisoning

Anonymous babbling on the internet at that link, is not evidence of anything Sheri.
Find something with some credibility or stop claiming that microbes like viruses do not exist or cause illness.
Do airplanes also not exist in your world?
Viruses have been known about the same lengh of time as airpanes. To say one or other is not in existence is equally ridiculous at this point.
Just as John needs to study Organic chemistry before making theories about it, you need to study microbiology including virology, before you make theories about it.
The mostly anonymous links you post are also from people with no virology knowledge, just wild ideas.
Here below are some real references:
They show poliovirus identified in the early 1900s, a vaccine invented fifty years later, Eradication of polio naturally occurring virus followed by 1983, but no eradication of related viruses in the same virus family which also cause disease, Also still existing is manufactured polio vaccine viruses (recombinant viruses) which have escaped the labs though vaccines, and are in the population causing hassles; the government did not keep control of any of it. New research to even know how the disease of polio works is stalled, (though the genetic structure of polio is known), becasue it is believed that money can not be made from such research, before the predicted end of polio (in other words coralling the escaped recombinant vaccine versions) occurs. Study continues on related viruses in the same family, mainly to try to make drugs and vaccines against them, (rather than understandng what they do inside an individual - which as usual is not where the money is).
A short representatitve list from the thousands of research papers:
1. [Nobel prizes for John F. Enders, Frederick Ch, Robbins and Thomas H. Weller in 1954 for discovery of the possibility of growing poliomyelitis virus on various tissue media]
(This helps in research to make drugs or vaccines)
2. Int J Health Serv. 1978;8(2):257-70.
Polio, politics, publicity, and duplicity: ethical aspects in the development of the Salk vaccine.
Brandt AM.......This discussion illustrates the failure of the government to keep pace with medical technology.
3. The virus of poliomyelitis. From discovery to extinction.
Salk J.
JAMA. 1983 Aug 12;250(6):808-10.
Only the natural virus is extinct (called the "wild" version of the virus)
4. Biologicals. 1993 Dec;21(4):305-9.
The discovery of the enteroviruses and the classification of poliovirus among them.
Melnick JL1.....How poliovirus came to be recognized as the prototype species of the genus, a subdivision of the family Picornaviridae. The enteroviruses were discovered only after new methods were introduced for working with viruses. They are now recognized as constituting one of the genera of the picornavirus family. Pico-rna-virus stands for viruses which are small (pico), and have an RNA genome. The enterovirus genus includes the polioviruses, the coxsackieviruses and the echoviruses of humans, plus a number of enteroviruses of lower animals (e.g., monkeys, cattle, pigs, mice). Over 100 serotypes are now recognized, the first having been the polioviruses.

My role in the discovery and classification of the enteroviruses. by Melnick JL1.

Over 100 serotypes are recognized, of which the first to be discovered were the polioviruses. It was my good fortune to have been a scientist during the golden age of virology, when new techniques were being introduced into the field. These often led to the discovery of new viruses. This article details the isolation of the enteroviruses, their recognition as a separate genus of Picornaviridae, and my role in the process. Poliovirus, the most hazardous of the group, is almost gone from the world, but the other enteroviruses will be with us for some time. Several members of the Committee dealing with these agents--Enders,Sabin, Dalldorf, Syverton--have passed on, but the work of this Committee to which I was privileged to contribute will live long.

[A case of vaccination-induced polio].
[Article in German]

(This is NOT caused by the wild polio but by recombinant manufactured versions for vaccines. There are multiple articles on nasty effects, I include just this one.)

Multiplex PCR method for identifying recombinant vaccine-related polioviruses.
Kilpatrick DR1, Ching K, Iber J, Campagnoli R, Freeman CJ, Mishrik N, Liu HM, Pallansch MA, Kew OM.
The recent discovery of recombinant circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus (recombinant cVDPV) has highlighted the need for enhanced global poliovirus surveillance to assure timely detection of any future cVDPV outbreaks.
(In other words the scientists released new versions of polio virus developed for vaccines, after the natural one was extinct, and now are running around to find the escaped maufactured new polio versions out there thanks to t heir vaccines.)
