SHINGLES AFTER SKIN CANCER RADIATION TREATMENT

I received a call from a person referred to me who has developed shingles on his face after radiation treatments for skin cancer. This person is experiencing significant pain from the shingles and asked me about a homeopathic product, Emuaid. Being unfamiliar with this product I looked up the ingredients. It sure is a stew of a half dozen or so ingredients and with one only Homeopathic Plex of Arg met. Not quite what I consider a homeopathic remedy. I have treated shingles before but never with a case associated with cancer. Are there additional precautions I should be aware of in this case?

Enhance his immune system that has been diminished by the radiotherapy, even if it is local and allegedly does not do it....it does.

Be also aware that unless the treatment has been done by very skilled radiotherapist, there will be deeper damage.

One of my patients decided to have RT for a scalp cancer, ended up with brain damage and eventually died as a consequence of that damage.....

Apart from taking the whole case...
A major difference is that chemo drugs, like steroids, destroy the thymus so you will not have any immune system to work with.
Some Moducare supplement can help with a little thymus stimulation to help that. ANd if needed Aco 200C to nip infections in the bud, preferaby at a rate to prevent them.
I find in many cat cases with destroyed thymus that a dose of Aco 200C on alternate days, just two drops, is very efficatious in handling attempts by infectious organsms while the main remedy is doing its work.
Moducare is plant sterols and steroline that boost Thymus Th-1 cytokine production which is usually nil after chemo. (though it does not repair thymus, only helps while ity is being used) - the idea being that after your main remedy has time to kick in and do thymus repair (min 3 months?), you can taper it. But this keeps opportunistic acutes from getting in your way.
