I suggest when it comes to morbific agents, he was a product of his times.
He doesn't say a bacteria or virus is the cause
And toxins are pretty morbific
And susceptibility certainly makes a difference

How does a person with measles pass these toxins to a healthy (but susceptible) person?

Has Sheri volunteered to be bitten by a rabid dog yet in order to prove her point?

Just as some dogs (or any other class of potential threats) are more aggressive and more dangerous than others, some germs are more hardy and more dangerous than others. I can play with some dogs even if they are strangers. I have awesome dog handling and dog loving skills. But some dogs, well, no matter how affectionate I am, no matter how skilled I am at winning over their trust, I just wouldn't dare pet them and scratch their ears.

In exactly the same way, my immune system can handle many germs. It behooves me to strengthen and harmonize my immune system so that I can handle more different kinds of germs. But there are some germs that are so dangerous, so nimble, that it would be foolish for me to mess with them.

Knowing that there are all strengths of germs in the world, from benign gut microbiota to rabies, it is my responsibility to strengthen my immune system now before I meet a germ that I can't handle. And it is my responsibility to avoid those germs that are just too dangerous for me to handle. I am pretty sure that I can handle any influenza germ.

I have always said, "I am not afraid of germs; germs need to be afraid of me." But, of course, there are some germs that I simply cannot win against.

I am sort of astonished that Sheri will not or cannot address either Soroush's points nor mine, and I know that both he and I have been making these points for a long time, so she has had plenty of time to think these points over. And there are probably other people making similar points (I don't read every comment). She is so quick to get angry at people who do not agree with her, but she is unable to support her ideas with reason arguments that counter our perfectly valid points.
