I talked to a local naturopath a few weeks ago and asked him about the FDA
hearings,etc, and he said, confidently, oh, they tried that once before and
failed. Today, I asked the "health" person at the coop if the coops were aware
of the FDA hearings and were they involved and he said, oh, sure, but the FDA
have tried this about 20 times and failed each time. I hope this isn't a case
of everyone assuming that it is not going to go through and so they do
nothing.

cute story: I was called over to my son's house to give something to my 7 year
old grandson who had been vomiting all morning. I gave him ipec and nothing
changed. I gave him nux and nothing changed. Then he lay on a table on his
knees and bent over with his head on the table and just stayed like that.
Ummmm! I gave him one dose of coloc and five minutes letter he was running
around.

Like the story Carol, well done - where were able to find that that position fitted the Coloc picture?

The one of the FDA is also classic—the tactic being to continue to push and wear out the public.

Using Clarke's MM I only find - Must rest & lay down / >bending forward. Getting close but not as specific as yours. I've noticed this discrepancy before in my books. Perhaps it time to upgrade my MM, whose MM are you using?

In this case, started with a quick look in Morrison's "Desktop Guide" and then Boericke, both on my desk. Was specifically looking for the posture.

Morrison's - Colocynthis, "We must think of Colocynthis any time the case centers around colic (colic posture).....................most often intestinal"

under gastro the first two entries:
Abdominal pains ameliorated by pressure, by lying face downward
Abdominal pains ameliorated by bending double

Nice grandkid story! I think you're right about people being overly confident that the FDA won't push something through this time. The Congress is Republican, the pressure from the pharmaceutical industry is ever greater, people like Orrin Hatch, whatever his politics in other spheres, are gone as defenders of supplements, etc., and the FDA doesn't understand a thing about homeopathy.
Has anyone seen the documentary "Bought"? It's on the inextricable ties between the pharmaceutical industry and our government. I'm reading the transcript and was delighted to discover that an M.D. at my first NCH summer session is a prime mover in the movie.
