So, why is homeopathy doing so well in India and so poorly in Western countries, especially the USA? Our own government is practically at war with us, while the Indian government gladly supports homeopathy.

It is really quite simple. The West is steeped in materialism, while India has a very strong tradition of spirituality. "Materialism" does not mean that we like to buy a lot of stuff, although that would be one of the results of materialism. Materialism is the belief that only the material world is real and that all meaning, life, consciousness, etc is derived from the material world.

Homeopathy will always have an uphill battle in the West as long as the West believes materialism.

By the way, here is some ammunition against homeopathy bashers: materialism cannot be proven (nor disproven) with science. Science may assume materialism, but it cannot prove (nor disprove) materialism.

And as I like to say when I want to tick-off the skeptopaths: Materialism doesn't disprove homeopathy; homeopathy disproves materialism.

But I doubt if they will understand that. If they were deep thinkers, they wouldn't be materialists.

One problem with materialism is that bees, other insects, bats, and human beings love the smell and sight of flowers. Why in the name of purely physical evolution would all of these different species find flowers beautiful? Evolutionarily, it is one heck of a coincidence.

* In USA the drug and food companies (Bayer and Hills Science Diet) spent $3 billion or so in the early 90s to figure out how best to "get rid of the competition" from alternative health, and then 8 companies (those and six others) implemented the plan, which is working just as they intended adn planned, starting with changing of the state laws on medical poractice to suit their ends.
* In USA there are 50 places (states) where the "administrative law" is available to enforce the desires of the drug companies, and AMA and AVMA via their plan, and where one is guilty till proved innocent and where there is no recourse for any injustice perpetrated, as by law one cannot sue the state or the people working for it.

USA has a powerful mechaism to get rid of homeopathy "competition" by intention of these 8 companies, in return for AVMA and AMA members carrying their products.

I remember writing about this plan back when I found out about it. Fell on deaf ears of course.
There used to be a discussion list about it, but it fizzled fast.

SInce then we have been sitting ducks while they implemented the plan, with almost no action on our side.
Apathy about acting on things is never a good plan but ...

in USA......... add that peple are apathetic, and wear blinkers.
My ongoing Washington state case is still the first veterinary homeopathy one, to set precedent against even free speech about homepathy by a homeopath with no medical license.
The California case is the first veterinary one against a licenced vet teaching homeopathy to his client to use on her cat.
The Texas case is the first veterinary oine against a licenced vet using the internet to give free information to animal owners outside of Texas - curtailing licenced free speech across state lines (also an issue in my case for unlicenced free speech).
These three precedent setting cases together, kill veterinary homeopathy totally dead, to speak about or to educate about or to use at all.
Add in removing the remedies themselves and it is an organized plan reaching completion.
It took them 20 years to implement the plan, and a lot of collusion and lobbying, but there was enough money at stake to do it. They are in the final stage.

You are soo right Irene - I cannot believe the American public and especially the Homeopath community - what is wrong with people that they are not engaged about their rights. It is a true travesty. I am German and believe me this would not happen there. The public would revolt. But here as long as they have Baseball,Football and TV - the world is in order. Too bad - its not what I remember from the 60th -

I agree with you all as what is happen and liklely to happen. I also believe I recognize several of the problems in regards to apathy and parazilation in the US in regards to "not acting" when needed, and not knowing how.

I experience several of them, and all are very effective in draining the energy out of people. One or two I will not mention, as most folks are not in an aware enough state to be aware such things are actually happening in America, or would used be against them as a tool to literally keep them in a stuck mind.

Many people here are mind controlled and/or brainwashed, from youth & on and ongoing daily basis. Many are on psychotropic drugs, prescriptions & otherwise that can numb them down & interfere with their thought/reasoning/acting/survival abilities.

Many feel so frightened & overwhelmed they are unable to act in their best interest, and have literally given up...some being aware of it, others, not so much.

Fluoride in the H20, foods, beverages, toothpastes, medications, etc, is taking its toll after many decades of ingestion. It is very effective in destroying the brain & thinking processes & one's internal will to act.

A lifetime of nutrient deficient/processed food/drinks or intentionally polluted foods, etc., weakens people.

Many are already very sick, weak, poor and depleted, and are barely able to function thru each day enough to keep a roof over their heads and foods in their mouths. They are already in survival mode and lack energy for anything but the very barest of essentials. Some are so broken down, inside & out, they've nothing left with which to fight.

Then again, there are many of those with their head in the sands, stuck in cognitive dissonance, are followers and not leaders, many hide/live in their chosen TV/media realities (lies) and feel safer staying so. Ignorance is bliss.

I'm sure there's more to it that these, but thought I'd through out a few ideas.
