Hypericum MT

Dear All,
I am mainly a lurker here but do appreciate the wisdom that is shared here.
I am in need of Hypericum in Mother tincture form and when I contacted Washington Homeopathics, I was told it was considered a prescription and could only be ordered by an MD or a Naturopath. ??? Has anyone come across this before and have any suggestions on how and where to obtain this? It is being suggested to a client for topical use in a nerve damage situation.
Blessings,

1. Try a herbal supplier

2. Try to find someone who makes their own

3. Try to get Hypericum oil (its red) which will work just as well
I am in UK and have no difficulty getting what I want from herbal suppliers because I am a homeopath. I wouldn’t buy it from a homeopathic supplier as it would be too expensive!!

Its common name is St. John's Wort, and you should have no trouble finding it in tincture from e.g. a health food store. This won't be exactly the same as Hypericum MT, but might work for what you need? (But why not instead just use a low potency?)

Thank you all for your input. Freemans in Scotland actually got back to me rather quickly saying they had it. They didn't say anything about needing to be an MD or anything to order it, I hope that's the case once I place my order.
This is for a cat, and I believe most herbs are toxic for cats, so I really want the MT.
Vicki this will be added to water rather than a cream.

I would order it from overseas.
There is a lot of stupidity in what is in RX in USA.,
You can buy the herbal tincture wihtout prescription.
But call it homeopathic and is needs a prescription.

Hypericum has been that way ever since Boiron bought a monopoly.
You will also never see calendula in a HF store where it belongs as a common remedy thanks to Boiron.
(Cal and Hyper are in direct competition with drugs, incase you want the $ reason; and Homeopathic remedies are under FDA drug law power, unlike herbs.)

Namaste,
Irene
