Bought

The film "Bought" did not go nearly far enough. It focused on the more obvious and egregious problems with the medical-pharmaceutical-food complex.
It did not focus on the philosophical problems with modern medicine, like the fact that they only deal with symptoms.
Upon asking if there was a way to improve the healing ability of my wife with regard to her recurrent urinary tract infections, some nurse in Marin County, California, abusively said to me: "What do you want, a miracle?!?".
Modern medicine suffers from chronic arrogance. Some of the results of this is that they don't listen to patients, they try their best to slam any other healing modality, they won't listen to ideas about holism vs. reductionism, they think that they have a monopoly on truth, they think that evidence based medicine is the only way, and if you disagree with them, they will put you down and be abusive.
The community of medical doctors live in an echo chamber; they mostly only listen to each other and to the pharmaceutical companies who sponsor their various activities.
Other people may put them on a pedestal. I consider that being a medical doctor is a huge risk factor for being wisdom deficient and just plain stupid.
I could go on and on.
