Interesting discussion on Fox News cable show Sunday House Call on the GMO Apple and GMO danger issues.
One thought brought up, what if the browning of fruit is protective against insects, so the GMO Apple may need more insecticides??

Browning is the process of oxidation. I'm of course totally against the GMO stuff, but I can't see where oxidation is a bad thing. And oxidized, rotting fruit seems more desirable to insects and some other consumers:)

I rarely agree with these docs, and only watched because the topic caught my attention. But I was appalled at how blithely they accepted the GMO line...

I want my apples to brown. That is how I know that they have vital force before they brown.
