I only have the 6th edition of the Organon (in Dutch), and as far as I
can tell, when dealing with the preparation of remedies, this edition
aims specifically at preparing LM potencies (the description is pretty
precise).
However, I want to make myself some C3’s of a few substances (to get
going with Fibonacci) and so the question is, what edition of the
Organon is precise in describing the preparation of a ‘simple’ C1 (and -
is this different from the preparation of remedies as described in the
6th edition?).
Once I have a ‘true’ C1 I know what to do

Hi Hennie,
From Yasgars........."The centesimal scale (1:100).
One part MT with 99 parts of 87% alcohol and succussed yielding 1C"

But some substances need to be done as triturate up to I think at least the 3d (c or x?), because they don't dissolve in alcohol or water.

That's right, I would need to know all steps, starting with *any*
substance, if need be using a mortar and milk of sugar, to prepare the
basic substance for a remedy.

Right. And thank you. But unless I'm mistaken, this is about LM's, and
what I'm looking for is the step by step preparation of a 'straight' C1.

Yes, whether mother tincture or substance that needs to be triturated – it is first taken to the C1 in either scale.

If you need trituration, 1 part of the substance in 99 parts of lactose; triturate for 3 hours if I remember well; repeat up to C3 then you can switch to liquid, 1 drop in 99 drops.
Starting with a liquid, it is the classical 1:99 ratio, that gives you 1C.
Joe.

Hi Again,
Step by step to C1:
"The centesimal scale (1:100)
One part MT - either liquid or triturate- with 99 parts of 87% alcohol, succussed 10 times (general consensus on succussions) .

Hi All,
No, this is the 6th edition. It's for LM's. Go to the 5th edition for C. Also read it with the Chronic Disease edition for that period, where he changes the number of succussions for each step to 10 instead of 2.
Get a copy of the combined 5th & 6th editions and you will see the difference.
Regards,
Paul
